110V means nothing in terms of power. Power in general is the Voltage multiplied by the current taken by the element. (its mentioned in the element or can be measured by an Amp meter)

You must obtain the Wattage of the element

When people heat pools then normally use a pool cover to save energy

Unless its a very small pool it would be difficult to heat it. If you don't use the the correct element you will waste energy.

It is hard to estimate the specifications without knowing the size of the pool and weather conditions.

please take care in using elements in pools as they can leak current very easily. Ensure proper earthing is done.

Chlorine may kill the element soon. it is advised that you use a water jacket in heating with electric elements

Probably not, because the power provided would be so low that the heat loss from the pool would be equal to the heat input after the pool was raised just a few degrees. So you would not be able to raise it to a nice warm temperature on a cold day.

rscanner is correct. It would be like trying to heat a two story, 4br house with a space heater.
