Your dog is dominate with you. Also, because it is dominate, it panics when you are not there because it can not look after you. (Primary pack behaviour.)
Probably LOVES when your boyfriend is there because FINALLY someone else is in charge and the poor dog can relax.
Firstly, be your dog's leader. For great tips in this, read Caesar's Way by Caesar Milan. Secondly, confine your dog to a safe area or a crate when you are gone. At least until you can trust your dog, though most dogs feel comforted to be in a safe place when alone.
Chewing everything up is a way to relieve stress.
Also, make sure your dog has enough exercise. Not just running loose in the backyard, you need to walk/run/bike with her.

Hi there,
Congrats on the puppy.
It sounds like this is a puppy that needs a lot of attention. You may wand to check out some training tips at a local kennel, or even tune into National Geographic channel and watch the Dog Whisperer for tips.
I have found that dogs (for some weird reason) like the smell of women's things. When my dog was a pup, she would smell and roll on my shoes, but not my husband's. ???
If you really think she is mad at you and targeting you, I know this may sound a bit nutty, but you may consider consulting with an animal communicator. They can help with animal behavior by helping you understand the animal's point of view. I worked with a good one named Heidi in Oregon.
Good luck!

I have this same problem. 6 month old beagle pup who only chews on my things, only goes to the bathroom in my room, and bites me. She has chewed my sheets and comforter and the strap to my nintendo DS.
The only way I have been able to solve this is to keep my door closed all the time, and to put her in her crate when we are gone. Disciplining my dog by spraying her in the face with water has worked pretty well too.

Always keep your bedroom door shut unless you are in it. This is a golden opportunity for dogs to go through your stuff.
I see it as a cry for attention (not that you're not giving her enough). But think about it: if she chews up something of yours, you'll notice and give her attention. Sounds that way to me :)

Your puppie has probably gotten used to you taking her with you everywhere you go. When you leave her alone she gets mad a decides to chew up some of your stuff thinking that she's telling you not to do that anymore.

She is angry with you because you left her. dog's do that...it could also be that she's jealous of your boyfriend maybe. keep everything up, out of her reach from now on. and try to give her plenty of attention. also take into account that she's only 7 months old. she's still just a baby, and they tend to tear up a lot of stuff. when my dog was a puppy, he would go into my room, and tear up my old cassette tapes that i had set out for a yard sell...he eventually grew out of that .

She could maybe be getting nervous when she is on her own and chews something with a comforting smell to help her feel better .

do you wear perfume? everyone smells different to a dog. this may actually be a sign that she is more familiar with you. she feels comfortable with the stuff she chews because she is comfortable with you. she doesn't want to eat something that is unfamiliar.

maybe she has separation anxiety because you said that she spends more time with you. try going to a dog trainer and they could probably figure out some ways to prevent this from happening.
