a person
out of 7billion people it is difficult to find agreement on this topic yet to believe what you do is typical.
If you desire to pursue more knowledge as regards the Bible, you would have to actually read the entire collection of books that make up it's 'canon'. If you have not done so, then to declare it BS would make you predjudiced based on not your own, but someone else's opinion.

Hmm, well you're obviously an intelligent person, since you accept the complete lack of evidence for the existence of made-up gods...and you recognize the made-up stories and historical inaccuracies of the bible. That's a good start.

However...if there is no god, which is supported by the evidence, why would there be a heaven and a hell? The mythology of religion says those places are where god puts people after they die, depending on how "good" they were during their lives. With no god to judge anybody, there's no need for places to put them based on a judgement.

Just like with made-up gods, there is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as heaven or hell. Ancient superstition put heaven in the sky just above earth, and hell under the ground. We've been up above the earth -- no heaven, just space. We've seen under the ground -- no hell, just natural materials that make up the earth.
You've made a great first step towards logic, reason, and knowledge by accepting the lack of evidence for gods, go ahead and take the next step and accept the lack of evidence for made-up places for a made-up afterlife!

By the way, ignorant christians: heaven and hell are NOT christian concepts. They're not even hebrew concepts. Ideas of an afterlife -- usually consisting of one side being "paradise" and the other side being "punishment" were around in nearly every culture long before the hebrews wrote down their myths. The hebrews borrowed them from other cultures because they liked the idea. *Hope* that there is a life after this one has been around as long as there have been humans, and the idea of punishing bad people after they die also. You folks should really read something other than the bible once in a while, it'll broaden your mind.

Peace.

That makes you confused about the religious education you have received.

Your mind understands and accepts the concept of heaven and hell because your mind knows that its not fair for people to do whatever they want and then go unpunished or unrewarded for it by God. As it is, a lot of good on the face of the planet goes unnoticed, and a lot of criminals dont pay up the price.

However, you havent fully grasped the concept of God in a theoretical way.

You might not need to at this point. Just know that since there is a heaven and there is a hell, there is a being that will judge your actions down to the last tiny bit and reward you for the smallest good and the smallest hurt youve caused.

Start from there, and investigate. Find peace and solace by knowing that there can only be One Creator who is just to all.

Read up on the main faiths people live by.

Its going to take years and years of research. But eventually it will be worth it.

For the path to the truth is not just written in a book, its a deep journey you take inside your own being.

Good luck!

Somehow spiritual without a complete belief system. You just have your own ideas and there's nothing wrong with that. It is somewhat odd to have a firm belief in heaven and hell but not any god. It's possible to believe that some sort of 'magic' (for lack of a better word) automatically sends us to either heaven or hell when we die. A lot of people believe God makes the decision but there are other ways of thinking. Just think it through some more and don't worry so much about trying to fit in with any particular group.

EVERYTHING IS IN ITS OWN ORDER DOWN THROUGH TIMES IS IT NOT?

All existed wen earth began to be prepared with everything in its proper place for plant life a double allowed time, then wild animals, then domestic animals, then Man is last.
All was perfect in all the thousands of years preparation to man.

LOST FROM EDEN

The eternal life of man.

The life sustaining earth for the eternal life of man on earth, it involves a large portion of the heavenly realm.

Angels were here to see the earth in preparation, then with humans in sin, angels did sin as well.

The heavens and the earth must be cleansed. Those remaining are for the new heavens and the new earth.
Satan will have about 6,130 years from Eden to Rev.20:1-6,12,13; the 1000 year reign of Jesus NO SATAN, and the heavenly that makes all new 2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1-5 ALL IS MADE NEW.
Rev.21:8 THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH.

Rev.20:7-10 The final cleansing of earth. Every opportunity has been given everyone.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Rev.2:7; Luke 23:43; 2Cor.12:2,4;
All perfect is for the Paradise of God 1Cor.2:9;

It sounds like it makes you a little confused...Read "The God Delusion" which will make it clear to you that you either believe in a god who created the universe, reads the thoughts of every one of the billions of people on earth, listens to the prayers of the believers, answers some of the prayers, checks on whether each one of use is being good, causes droughts, diseases and tsunamis (all for good reasons of his own) OR you believe in evolution and a scientific explanation for all of this. And don't worry about heaven and hell, they don't exist. Heaven is a nice comforting idea for the religious and hell was created by them (the religious) so as to keep the gullible in line!

it might simply mean that like me, you do not believe in an organized religion, yet you believe there is a spirit/force/postivie /negative balance that guides us, or you would not believe in heaven and hell. to me god is more than a being - he is an all encompassing concept. read the link below, and enjoy forming your own ideas. in the end its not the route we choose, its the outcome of how we lead the best lives we can. enjoy your voyage of discovery, learn all you can, and ignore idiots who tell you that your questions are stupid. its better to have an open mind.

I think you need to ask yourself what causes you to believe in Heaven and Hell. And then ask yourself what causes you to disbelieve in God. I believe once you do this with sincerity, you'll come to realize that God is the one who made this Heaven and Hell that you believe there is.

Here's a link that might help you come to terms with your doubts regarding God's existence: http://www.leestrobel.com/Creator.htm

God bless you as you search for answers.

Unfortunately, that makes you lost as far as attaining heaven is concerned. Heaven is the spiritual home of Almighty God and Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Making no choice about Jesus is the same as making a choice.

Not very well read, really. Do some research on the different worldviews (the all-powerful Wikipedia is great for this), and see what really meshes with the way you want to think. Sounds like you could be going for a sort of Buddhism.
