Eight weeks is the absolute youngest.

Ten weeks is more ideal.

8 weeks is the youngest age you can take a puppy away from its mother. You can still look for a puppy and even pre-buy it. You have to wait till it's 8 weeks or older

generally you buy a puppy when it is 6 weeks old, but i think that it can range from 5-8 weeks old. i wouldn't recommend buying a puppy from the pet store... instead go to a breeder. you could also try your local animal shelter for a puppy, too.

Well pups shouldn't be taken away from their mother no sooner than 6 weeks, so after about 7 I think you can go for it. Good Luck!
Get a cute one!
