wow there are some idiotic perverts on here. Go into it like you would any other spin, bend the leg that's going to stay on the ice, then whip you arms open the same time you straighten you leg, and do it fast, it will probably take a will to do and do it well, I couldn't get my camel for a long time, but now it's my best spin, just be patient and practice.

Damn perverts....
Well there are three "camels" which in reality are called "spirals",
the one that goes straight, one that goes on the outside edge of your skating blade and the one that's done on the inside edge of the skating blade.
The outside and inside, of course will have you going in a cercle or arc and is a bit more difficult.... so I'll teach you the straight one.... (there is also the same but going backwards, but that's another story)
Main thing is to keep your arms well streched to your sides,
give you a good push forward bending the leg that will support you.
When you have your good push (or even if you are already skating) keep the arms streched and slowly bring the free leg upwards until it is parallel to the ice and keep the balance with your arms....
The secret for a good spiral is the push, if you're too slow, it doesn't work, don't be too slow to do the steps but not too quick either, you'll find your balance.....

stretch as hard as you can first, making sure that you don't hurt yourself. try not to hurt yourself though.
start to circle like you would going into a scratch spin. swing your left arm as hard as you can into it, while lifting your right foot. keep your leg strait, and you will have sucess.

(REMEMBER!!!!!! both legs straight, keep your back low and arched, head up, and try your best to stay on the 'rolly' spot.)

I'd take him out to dinner first and buy it a few drinks. That should loosen up the camel and make him much easier to do.
