We are going to New Orleans for my husbands business trip in June. I would love to find out some great things to do and restaurants to eat in so when he is in meetings I can keep myself busy! Also, how hot does it get in the summer?

The Spotted Cat on Frenchman Street (night)

Try a Country Fried Steak Po' Boy

Of course, one night (or even afternoon) experiencing Bourbon Street.

Try a "Hand Grenade." They are billed as the most potent drink in New Orleans... they are actually delicious too, hehe.

Coups by Jackson Square has great authentic cuisine. You can get jambalaya with rabbit, amazing shrimp creole and fried (insert anything that comes from the water here)

Beignets at Cafe DuMond's in the French Quarter. A must. You haven't been to New Orleans if you skipped this one.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Have fun and be safe.

Pretty humid !! Bring real light clothing and sunscreen..
make sure you drink plent of water..

well to start..
If you've never been to the French Quarter.. that will entertain you for atleast a few weeks. There is much to do there.. for all differen't kinds of tastes. You can check out all the shops.. and tourists shops.. you can go on a horse and carriage ride while being told the history of the French Quarter. You can take a haunted history tour.. a river boat cruise.. go to the french market... listen to some live jazz.. go to some bars at night.. go to the aquariam.. to go Canal Place mall.. its endless.

There are many festivals in the summer time.. theres much more to do around this time then the winter times..

Mulate's, which is near the Convention Center, and Jaques Imo's are excellent places to eat.

I always stay away from the Quarter, during the day. Go travel around the Garden District, and look at some of the architecture.
