I own a dakota 4.7 and it takes 6 quarts. not 5. if you put 5 in it will be under filled. call up any dodge service dept and they will tell you. the 5.2 was 5 quarts.

The Engine requires 5 Quarts.

they call for 6 liters of oil but if you check it after you start the truck you will see the level half way between add and full.
that's just dodge dealers trying to save a buck on oil changes,
they take 6 and a half liters to the full mark .

I believe the 4.7 holds about 5.5-6.0 qts.

should be in youre owners manuall 4.5-5.0 quarts
