I am a natural dark haired brunette-
You know, dark hair, dark eyes, light skin- the whole Northern Italian in me.
But I don't want to have my hair color.
I want to bleach it light blonde but only on the top of my hair- under it will be my usual dark color.

Will the bleach everntually fade out or grow out?
If I wanted to go back to my normal hair colour- would I have to die it again?

thanks

Bleach does not fade out, you will get roots and have to touch them up pretty often if your going that light. Mine start to bother me every 3-4 wks. If you were not to like this it would have to be recolored to get your natural color back-possibly a few times because the hair is a little porous after it's been bleached and it takes a minute to grab that color. I would suggest seeing a professional for this process. The bleach that is available for non-pro's is so terrible, you can really damage your hair or even burn your scalp. This is a hard job even for a stylist but we can do it. Even after it is bleached up you need to be toned because it will most likely just be yellow-and no one wants that : )

Every individual has a hair level color. If you are a dark brunette chances are that bleaching your hair would come back with some unwanted results. Dark hair has more red pigment than blond hair. So if you bleach your naturally dark hair it will most likely turn yellow blonde due to the red pigmentation. If you leave the bleach on too long (if your doing it yourself) your hair could fall out or become so dry and brittle that it would need major conditioning therapy. Think about highlighting instead this would be a nice natural way to brighten your locks!

The bleach will grow out otherwise you'll have to redye your hair back to your natural color.

Since you have naturally dark hair I would suggest to leave the top the dark color and then add the blonde to the underside so when the hair starts to grow out the roots aren't noticeable. Otherwise you'll have to do the upkeep on the roots since when your hair grows it'll be your dark color.

Good luck

the problem with bleached hair is you would possibly want to keep on utilising toners to maintain it a mild blondie coloration. Shampoos and Conditioners also make it more desirable "yellow". I heard you should use Lemon Juice as a organic toner to maintain making your hair lighter. yet i do not imagine we may be able to ever get our hair platinum until eventually it does so certainly.

If you bleach it and then try to die it back your hair will turn a weird color, but if you let it grow out your roots will be your natural color. So if you bleach it and don't bleach it again every time your roots show your natural hair color will come back.

I hope you're going to a salon to lighten your hair first. It's going to be a long and hard task that a professional needs to do with professional products that won't severly damage your hair.
The blonde does grow out, but it won't fade. Sometimes it can turn brassy depending on your water, but they have shampoos to prevent that. You're chemically altering it, and it will stay blonde...
Unless you color it back to, as close as you can get, to your natural shade.
Good luck honey.

maybe have to die it so before you bleach it i would cut a little piece from the end of my hair so if you didn't like that color you can go to the store and bring that piece of hair to find the match
