I would thank them, My mother prayed for me when I was growing up, But her prayers alone did not cause me to serve God, God spoke to my heart & let me know that I was lost, When I gave my life to God in 1970 I was almost 21, my mother had nothing to do with my decision, In fact, she was more of the pushy type, It was God hearing her prayers & not her only but my brothers prayers & some others, Then One day I knew I need God, I was raised in a christian home, but my decision was my own, it was between God & myself & not between God, My mother & myself. You should thank god if your mother or someone else is praying for you, I no longer have my mother, nor my father, nor my 1st wife, My first wife died in 1989 after being married for almost 22 yrs. My dad passed away in 1971, & my mother in 1991, I am now married to a very wonderful Christian woman for 15 yrs.

Hmm. I don't know too many Christians who I would consider my equals. I suppose that seems arrogant, but seriously, I know very few who I respect enough to converse seriously with them. The only person I know who might be currently praying for my soul is someone I talk to out of pity, as she has few friends and has some emotional and maturity issues. I doubt she really remembers to pray for me.

Hmm, if it's your decision alone as to whether to accept God, then God is powerless, and there's no point in praying for your salvation. If God has already predestined whether you will belong to Him, then the prayer is...again pointless, since He has already decreed this from before the foundations of the earth. Don't tease your friend about this though, that's not nice.

If they want to pray for your salvation, let them. If any of my friends found out I was Neopagan and they tried praying for me, I'd ask them to let me pray for them.

If they pray for you, then you shouldn't know it.

If they tell you they pray for you, remind them that Jesus says not to pray in the streets, but in the closets.

I try to see it from their point of view, theyre just doing what they think is the best thing for my good, and I appreciate their efforts. But I dont take it seriously much.

Im sure they wouldnt take it seriously if I had done the same.

Its an interesting feeling never theless.

That something' was up. I'm a 'Christian' too. It depends on what 'form of christian' they were. If they were, lets say, Evangelical I'd just toss it aside. It's no big deal. Why? Because I look at them as being...searching for a word...wrong.

I feel sick or strange, like my head hurts, thats how i can tell a christian is praying for me. Actually i dont feel honored, i feel insulted because thats thier way of saying they believe thier religion is right and they find fault in my own personal beliefs. Its an invasion of privacy in my honest opinion.

What difference does it make to you? Is this not a free country? Maybe find out why they would want you to be saved. Why would they want to be with YOU in heaven? Perhaps love? God bless
