You can file a lawsuit against the buisness. They should request parent's consent. It's Illegal for any buisness to pierce or tattoo under the age of 18 without a parent or guardians consent. I know plenty of reputable parlors that will not allow any body art to be performed without both parents consent.

You certainly have a case for small claims court. You should sue them for the medical expense of having the tattoo removed through laser surgery. Even if you have no intention of going through with the removal, the threat of legal action will probably bring the owners to settle with you out of court (and make them a little more wary of servicing minors without parental consent).

Depends on whether or not your underage child did something to falsify proof of age. You can sue them, but get all the facts first. Anyhow, no matter what you do, nothing's going to un-do the tattoo, so it's all for naught. Focus your energy onto the child. It sounds like they need the attention and some additional guidance.

Contact an attorney. Sorry the a lot of these answers are wrong. The fake ID, may or may not be a defense, and it may or may not mitigate the damages.
Get the complete code from the state board or regulators of tattoo parlors and completely read it.

If its a tattoo parlor then you can take legal action. If it's a guy working out of his house then you can't do a d@mn thing because it's not illegal in any state.

The tattoo artist and the tattoo establishment can be cited for criminal child abuse, which is a fedral offense. Call your local law enforcement for guidence on how to file a complaint, all stusios need to have on file copies of a picture ID of each client, as well as a release form.

File a complaint with the police department and/or your state's attorney. Ask them to prosecute the shop's owners for violation of the law and ask that the shop be closed.

Sue, its against the law. But I would not remove it, thats painful, and I do not think that a doctor would agree to do that on a little kid anyway. I hope this didn't happen to you!
