Has anyone heard of Neturei Karta? If so, why cant modern judaism be like these true humanists?

Neturei Karta are absolutely nuts. They are the same as Evangelical Xtianity. They were the ones climbing the rooftops in Jerusalem to throw stones at the gay pride marchers. They will also throw stones at you if you take a picture of their neighborhood because they believe you should not take pictures as an extension of the commandment "do not make graven images"

Modern Judaism cannot be like them because they are hypocritical. They are ignoring Judaism's real form and using it to their own political agendas.

There are at most only a few hundred adherents to the extreme views of Neturei Karta in the world today.

They believe that the Jews were exiled from their land as punishment for their sins, and that God is still angry with the Jews after all these thousands of years.

It's an extreme form of "Jewish Guilt".

This is strange, considering the flip side of Jewish literature, which speaks of Gods eternal love of the Jewish people and their eternal right to the promised land that He gave to them.

There is a lot more talk about this "love" than about "punishment" in the Jewish writings. I don't know why these Neturei Karta nuts are fixated on the punishment thing so much. I think they need some serious psychotherapy.

Have you heard of Neturei Karta? I'm going to assume very little because otherwise you wouldn't ask the question.

The Neturei Karta is a very tiny organization that has very little actual active members.
Though they are anti Zionist, they are not the standard religious anti Orthodox group. That would be Satmar. Satmar has gone on record to denounce their shenanigans and have effectively excommunicated them. So if even anti Zionists are shunning them, you should really ask what they did to deserve that.

Oh yeah, that Iran thing.

Because the Jewish people have been removed from the casual laws that govern nature and history and are exclusively bound by another set of religioethical laws within a casual proscess of reward and punishment, exile and redemption. Because the entire concept of a sovereign Jewish state is contrary to Jewish law.
