I sent a letter by priority mail to my credit card company last Tuesday.Because of Ford's death,it would have gone out on Wednesday and arrived by Saturday. However,I accidently put the mailing label on the wrong side of the envelope and my online account with my credit card does not show that the payment has been recieved yet(it's due today). My question is,was my envelope still mailed even though the label was on the wrong side??

There is a good chance that it was sent with no problem. It probably would have been returned to you by now.

I had a friend that sent out a bunch of invitations with the stamps on the wrong corner and the were all received okay.

I recommend calling your credit card customer service and see if they have received it. Perhaps it just hasn't posted.

I work in the mail room at a bank. I have seen labels in just about every possible position on the envelope. I have even seen postage on the back of the envelope. If the post office can find it, the usually don't worry about where the label is actually placed. In my experience, most credit card companies only update your account on-line overnight on business days. That means if they received the payment on Saturday, it won't show up on-line until Tuesday morning. If you call the toll free number, they may have a record of the payment before then.

Yes, it would have been returned to you if there was a problem. It takes a while for the payment to get posted.

Unless the mail carrier is a moron like mine is, then your letter ended up in another company's box.

Depends what you had on the correct side. If you had nothing on the right side then chances are it will go.

Also, today is Sunday, so no mail today. Wait until Monday.

Maybe you should call the people it was headed for and just ask them.

I would wait to call them until Tuesday to call, unless it was sent late to begin with.
