As a Christian brother to another, I totally agree that more people should step out in faith for the father. Some people will say that they feel embarrassed to do it. The way I see it is that you're worshipping the Creator of Time and Space, the Lord Almighty. What's there to be embarrassed about? Also, Jesus promised us that if we accept him and ask for forgiveness of our sins through his blood, we will, I repeat, WILL be saved. So, yeah, it's definitely worth it to step out in front of the world in faith.

Well, considering the Jesus described in the New Testament violates most of the messianic prophecies... no, no it isn't worth it. If I were to step out in faith, I'd worship the Norse Aesir, particularly Fenrir Wolf and Tyr, the wolf of Ragnarok (Apocalypse, basically) and the God of Justice, respectively, and I'd incorporate Sekhmet (Egyptian mother goddess, fertility goddess, drinker of blood, inventer of genocide).
The Abrahamic God as worshipped by the Christians and Muslims is a monster unworthy of worship. The Jewish version is tolerable but only because he actually keeps his promises, unlike the Christian and Muslim version.

Well, having been there and done that, I can say that since I don't believe Jesus actually existed in human form, the rest of it is a moot point.
I have faith, just not in your bible's version of God.
I realize you believe you're actually gaining a reward in heaven for these questions and thinking you're doing something for the kingdom, but perhaps you should look at another forum to try this. The vast majority of people here are decided in their beliefs, and to antagonize them is not going to work. Jesus wanted you to go out and preach the gospel to those who haven't heard it before.. you aren't going to find someone here who hasn't heard the message. You've been told by your bible that if we reject the gospel to dust off your feet as you leave.. perhaps that's the best way to go.

No, it's not worth it. If "God's Word" where actually coming from "God", then it might have some merit. However, "God's word" comes from other human beings. These are just people like everyone else who have long since died telling us that we should believe what they have written down. So why should I have faith in what someone I have never seen or even heard of tells me, when I can take what I know is real and what I can see and live my life based on that?

No. That would be naive.
Also shallow. The only reason you believe is because some character in a fairy tale promised you all kinds of cool stuff?
Doesn't that sound a little insane to you?

So you want me to test my creator?
what power do I have to test Him?
wouldnt that be a little dumb given the fact that Im such a weak and small creature living on a small planet on the edge of a medium sized galaxy who knows nothing more than to waste his surroundings and cant even clean it up afterwards? (referring to the greenhouses gases accumulated on earth)
get real

Do you also believe in magical faries and potions?
Go read a Harry Potter book.
At least they have good endings (unlike the Bible)

Odin promised me Valhalla first. If you feel no guilt for your actions, why do you need salvation?
