am i normal if i need to have a shower before my boyfriend goes down on me, i just wont feel comfortable otherwise. this however, makes things less spontaneous. i feel silly asking him to stop so i can shower first!

some people are that way, others go with the flow...unless I've been sweaty or have reason to think that area might be "not so fresh" then I don't worry about it...nor have I ever been with a guy who showered or washed his area off before I went down on him...
I don't think you should worry so much about it unless you know there's an odor issue or you're not clean...typically most guys aren't going to mind if you didn't just step out of the shower and some will actually be turned off by you stopping the 'event' because you don't feel clean enough...

You ask if this is normal. What indeed is normal when it comes to being intimate. Some will say no that is not normal while others will say yes I feel the same.
Your feeling about this comes from wanting to always put on your best so there will be no chance of being criticized. Especially where you are so venerable.
My feeling about this is that if you practice normal hygiene, take a bath say at least every other day, that you have no reason to feel this way. Part of the thrill of oral sex for most men is the smell believe it or not. For most it is a huge turn on. Of course just the idea that you will allow him to do this to you is a major part of it.
If you have the idea he is doing this just for you....wrong. He loves it. For you to like it makes it just that much better.
My guess is you are doing this unnecessarily and yes it would ruin the mood. But you must do what feels comfortable for you in order for you to enjoy it.
Talk to your boyfriend about it. Ask him what it is that he likes so much about it. You clearly think you must be very unclean so ask him how he feels about that. My guess is he will say it is all part of the thrill of it. If he does believe him. If for some reason you are not clean enough he will tell you and he won't do it to hurt your feelings. Most of the time you won't get any comment about this at all except Hmmmm.

I am the exzact same way. If he's going down on you then it is to pleasure you right? If I take a shower right before hand then i enjoy it alot more. There is nothing wrong with it. We want to enjoy it to the most. So we shower first. If your uncomfortable while he's doing it because your thinking "danm I should have took a shower" then your not going to enjoy it so whats the point? I completely understand what your saying.

I am the same way. Just think of how silly you would feel if he stopped in the middle of things and ASKED you to shower. Good for you! You're a clean person!

Why don't you ask him to join you in the shower?¿ You want spontaneous? invite him in and see what unfolds. Anything can happen in the shower, switch things up on him and see how he reacts to it.
No your not weird because a good percentage of ladies do it so your doing just fine. Good luck with your new Shower adventures

U r SOOO normal!! He should see it as thoughtful, u know, to make sure it is free of toilet paper, lol, jk!!! I am the same way, I have to take a shower even before foreplay! Maybe u should take a shower before the action starts and ask him to join u in the shower, it makes the water even hotter. lol!!!

I would highly reccomend that you carry on with this little ritual, it is good to have respect for yourself as in you want to be at your best and your boyfriend is a very lucky man to have such a considerate girlfriend. I would say that if you want things to be less planned why not start your play in the shower. It is great fun

I thought I was the only one.... lol!
But I know what you are talking about... I don't feel 100% comfortable unless I am "fresh".....
But I have come to realize that just because you have a faint odor down there doesn't mean you "stink". It is actually normal.
I'm pretty sure that all women have an odor after a few hourse, even though you have probably never smelled another woman having an odor... They don't smell you either.
It's you being more conscious about yourself....
all women are like this I think.
So don't be so parnoid about yourself...

No my girl insist on having a wash before I respect her for that and it makes the experience great and as for not being spontaneous it's just a big a turn on knowing what a treat I'm in for

This is not silly. Sex is all about feeling comfortable and secure with eachother and you need to feel clean in order to enjoy it.
