I have had nasal allergies for years that are getting worse. It feels like there are little bugs crawling around in my nose. If i roll over in bed, bend over or touch my nose it is automatic sneezing, and I am talking a lot 20-30 in a row. I take a lot of benedryl tabs that do help for a few hours. Is there something that I can spray into my nose that will relieve this crawlin sensation that i have in there. I really do not want to use something with neosynepherine in it as it tends to make my heart race and makes me feel wierd. Any suggestions?

I suggest using a different antihistamine pill regularly... I know benadryl (Dipenhydramine) doesnt work as effectively for me as Chlor-Tripolon( chlorphenamine) which is actually better at treating the nasal part of allergies and completely gets rid of the itchy nose feeling (I know all about that I also sneeze 20 times in a row not just once) Reactine(Cetirizine hydrochloride) and Claritin(Loratadine). These work way better that Benadryl does and Reactine can be taken in the morning and it lasts 12-24 hours and keeps that itchy nose away... I have tried nasal sprays but they seem to make the itchy nose worse... I suggest trying one of the different antihistamines I mentioned because there is always one that is better suited to each individual.

YESSSSSSSS!!! Go and get a saline wash. there are various ones in the CVS, WalMarts, Walgreens.... it's good old fashioned "granny" remedy!! it's been around forever and it works!

here's the jist -- you use a salt solution into a bottle and use distilled water - you squirt it up one nostril and it comes ou thte other. look it sounds gross and trust me - to some extent it is but.... it works GREAT at cleaning and flushing out the sinus's!! when mine get horrible dry and cracked - i put some noesporin on a q-tip before bed and use that too -- i know it's for external use only but.... it works for me.

Since the winter has been very mild it hasn't killed all the mold spores and other things that cause sever allergies so you should go to your physician and get a strong prescription.
