Sounds like he's pretty protected. One more should be done if he has or will have grown a lot since his last vaccine.
I think it would be OK.

I would ask your Veterinarian to be absolutely sure. The only thing that concerns me is that he hasn't rec'd his last Parvo. This disease is easily transmitted and deadly if not treated immediately. Also the cost of treatment can be quite expensive! I think you are safe, BUT I WOULD NOT take the risk without asking your Veterinarian. I know how anxious you are to start taking him to the park, I was the same way. I thought I had the cutest puppy and wanted to show him off!! *smile*. Socializing is so important to start ASAP!!! It also needs to be continued into and through adulthood. The more they are socialized, the less fearful they will be of dogs, people, and strange places/situations/etc.. I HIGHLY recommend Puppy Classes if you do not know how to train the basic skills. I started teaching my puppy to walk on a leash and sit when he was 11 weeks old. Remember a slip chain (some call it a choker collar) is ONLY to be used for training or when on a leash! I highly recommend that you keep him on a leash at the park until you have him trained to come when called!!! I myself, still keep mine on leash...better to be safe than sorry! So to directly answer your question, I would call your Veterinarian tomorrow and start taking him to the puppy park everyday if possible. Also, I'm sure you know to be careful when introducing him to other dogs at the park. Just because a dog is wagging it's tail, doesn't mean that it's friendly!! Don't allow other dogs to charge up to him, for this can frighten them! I wish you the best of luck and many happy years with him!!!

Dog parks are great places to introduce your animals to social settings. The only thing I would be concerned about is whether or not the other owners are good about picking up after their pets. If you see lots of piles of feces around, I would suggest going somewhere else. You dont know if the dogs have whipworms, hookworms, pinworms etc. Young dogs are like human kids, they have to test everything with their mouths. If they test a pile of poo thats infested with hookworm eggs, then hes got them now. Also, if you spot some diarrhea, absolutely keep him away from it!
I think I would wait until your last round of parvo, too. Better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!

Off leash parks are not safe. I would never take my dog to one. Not only are they filthy havens for disease and parasites...there is always the danger of dog fights. If you want to socialize your pup, get together with friends or neighbours that have dogs and have a doggy playdate in your yard.

At the dog park around here all the dogs have to be spayed/neutered. I'm sure it's different for each dog park, the worst that can happen is they say you can't go in. Dog parks are so much fun though, and they are really good for your dog.

It depends on how big your puppy is: if another dog comes for example, will your puppy be able to defend itself? Has your dog had experience following you off the leash?
Well at least its good he had his shots.

I would think since your puppy is fully vaccinated it would be ok to take him, just remember to be careful of parisites too, if he's on a good heartworm preventitive he should be pretty safe from most worms and stuff.

wait untill he is at least 5 weeks old. but still, you should keep an eye on him in the park and stay close to him. if there are too many dogs in the park, don't risk it. the more dogs, the more of a chance of a dog fight.
