I don't want white or red. I want to put chrome 20 or 22 inch rims on the car so that should help in choosing a color. I also want to put a chrome grille on it. I'm more stuck between Black and Silver, but Green is definately an option. I'm getting the SE model. Also, are 2006 Chargers reliable cars? I hope so... I'm switching from a Toyota Rav4. Thanks for any input.

No doubt, BLACK!

There's one running around here that's

Lowered
has 20" Foose wheels - 5 black spokes
SRT hood
Blacked out windows

IT LOOKS KILLER - and I don't even like new cars.....

I am with black all the way. This color would look really nice with chrome wheels. I suggest getting a coupe. For some reason I don't see those that often, and I am not really a fan of four door cars. Other than that nice choice on the car, I personally like the Chargers, they look nice and from what I hear they are really reliable cars. I also suggest a dark black window tint, but make sure they're legal. The tint on my mustang is very dark and you have to be close to see inside and I haven't had any problem with the cops yet.

I think that color is a matter of personal preference. But if you're going with a chrome grille, it'd probably look best with a black, followed by silver. I would also consider the climate in which you live as well, in a warmer climate you'd probably be better off with a lighter color as darker colors such as black would absorb more heat from the sun.

both colors are good choices but you have to ask yourself this. how much time will you put in to keeping the exterior clean.

black is high maintenance and shows swirl marks alot. you will be constantly washing it after a rain or just from dust collection.

silver is real low maint. as it can hide dirt more if you don't like to wash and wax all the time.

but for that car I love the orange with cuda style flat black stripe on the sides

so its how much time you like to reserve for washing and waxing. as we all know a dirty black cat looks like crap.

it all depends on what you think would look good with the type of rims you plan on getting. like for instance i would go for the black one. but that is just my opinion. (lol) but it is totally up to you. Or as my husband tells me go with your feelings.

That is my opinion hope you make the right choice.

GO WITH YOUR FEELINGS!

I wouldn't get black unless I lived in a cool climate. Black can be miserable in hot climates.

I don't know much about them, but black is a timeless, classic, and sophisticated color that always looks great.

Black will look great, but red would have a higher resale, if you trade often.
