The only difference is:

Are you brain washed with the good life-giving word of God(Jesus Christ)?

Or

Are you brain washed with the corrupt and wicked BS of the world?

Isaiah 5:20-Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

John 20:31-But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The question is not are we brainwashed. It is how effectively do we resist the brain washing.

The quote you used from Isaiah is a great example. Good and evil don't exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush is seen as good by people who share his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often see him as evil.

Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.

To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.

Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don’t like.

This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.

Love and blessings

Yes i think we're brainwashed, after all we are told what is wrong and what is right for as long as i know, so really we're are all brainwashed in the sence of fitting in the system, and living up to norms.

The same is with a great part of religion, most people are raised with a belief, they are told that is the truth, so that's kinda like a weak form of indoctrinating i guess.

It's just how you look at it, everybody has a free will, so no matter what is taught, or stamped in to say it this way, people should still be able to think on their own, but i guess it is a normal trait to tell (brainwash) other people what your truth is.

I am washed head to toe. Brain Washed with living water. I am so brainwashed that my life is not my own anymore. I am a bond slave to Jesus Christ. But I am also actually whole for the first time in my life. I look forward to every day good and bad.

Those that are of Christ are not brainwashed. Their eyes are open to the world and know that we all belong to Jesus Christ who is the creator of the world and who was the one that brought the slaves out of egypt through the Holy Spirit.

Brainwashed, no. I am a freethinker and can form my own opinion that is separate from all others. However, you seem to be brainwashed by religion. Quoting scripture is not forming an opinion. I don't know how many times I've said that one. Scripture is not YOUR idea, it is someone else's idea. If you agree with it, fine. But put it into your own words, using scripture to back your idea if you wish.

I agree that everyone is brainwashed in the sense that our thoughts and deeds are colored by the distorted view of the world that each of us holds.

But the real difference is between those who know their world view is imperfect, and those who do not. The religiously devout definitely fall into the latter category.

I think everyone has some degree of 'brainwashing', whether religious or not. I don't agree with your limited Jesus vs. Evil options though. It's too narrow.

Your premise implies a judgment of good or evil. It does not recognize balance. Meaning, you cannot appreciate the light unless you have experienced the dark. It simply is what it is, and it is highly necessary for our existence on this planet.

I am like Peter in John 13:9
Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head. Peter knew without Jesus Christ he was nothing.

did you know that Christians make up 75% of the american population and 75% of the prison population
atheists make up 10% of the american population and 0.2% of the prison population
atheists also have less of a statistical chance of divorce then Christians do.

a more accurate way to phrase the question is
Are you brainwashed with Christianity
Or
Are you brainwashed with REALITY?
