Lmaonow how long will it take for someone to come here and complain without answering your question, Im impressed. Ok now that we've established anti tattoo people like harassing others for no reason, Ill help with your question. The first 2 days after you get your tattoo you should avoid submerging it in water(as in pools/baths) You want to rinse it gently using only a very mild soap twice a day. Once it starts to scab and flake you can use a non scented lotion(ones like aveeno work.) Just a suggestion from my own experience avoid swimming for a while even after it has healed as when they are new it causes the colour to fade quickly(luckily the artist who did mine does free touchups or life so it isnt a problem for me.) hope this was helpful!

Don't use vasoline, that will not allow oxygen in. Don't use neosporin. Its too strong and will recognize the ink as an impurity and cause premature fading. Use vitamin A & D ointment or bacitracin. Wash it a few times every 5 or 6 hours by hand with antibacterial soap. Let it air dry for a few minutes, then cover with a very thin layer or ointment, just enough to make the skin shiny.

Ask your tattoo guy for tips as well, they'll probably have a lot of info for you.

Most tattoo parlors have a certain kind of product that they will push on their clients. The shop I frequent, includes a small tub of Tattoo Goo in with their prices. Ask your artist what they prefer for their clients to use...the Tattoo Goo is pretty good, you slather it on in a very thin layer a couple of times a day...you should also wash your new tat with antibacterial soap twice a day and use cool water before using the Goo... Do not use Vaseline or any kind of triple antibiotic ointment. Vaseline inhibits the oxygen flow to the tat and takes it longer to heal while the antibiotic ointment will also trap germs and end up doing crazy things to the ink in your tat.

Good luck!

Everybody's healing time is different, so there's no way to make it heal any faster than you normally would. Put bacitracin on it for the first two days. Not too thick, just enough to cover it. Use a fragrance and dye free moisturizer after that. Pat it dry after getting out of the shower, and don't scratch it when it starts to itch (and it will itch).

If you haven't realized already, everyone has learned different healing techniques from their artists and other people. There are many ways to heal a wound, all you can do is try one way and see if it works for you for next time. Here is what my artist recommends: Three days of washing with dial (with just your hand) three times a day, then after the third day incorporating a little unscented lotion to keep moisturized. This worked fine for me! Good luck!

Take the dressing off 3 hours after you leave, and wash it with cold water and dial soap. Then let it alone fr 24 hours. After then, you can apply a SMALL amount of unscented body lotion such as lurberderm or aveeno 3 to 4 times a day. You should be golden!!

Good luck

After it is done healing, put lotion on every day. This will keep it looking good. As far as making it heal faster, it has to heal at its own pace. Depending on how long your body heals naturally. Make sure you wear dark colored clothes because the colors will bleed.

the healing process depends on your body anyways but they will put vaseline on it for you and cover it up and like 4 hours or somthing like that you can take the patch off and then just make sure its always lubricated I suggestthe A&D OINTMENT anyways try not to let it rub on anything like clothes and DO NOT SCRATCH its gonna kill you not to but dont you will regret it
