im going to a really nice dinner and i like to mix my food up. the lady thats haveing it is is really big on table manners so i dont know if its ok to do it or not.

As a rule, no do not do it. In informal settings, anything goes. If the food should be mixed, or is commonly mixed by most then it is okay. (Remember not to reach, and keep those elbows off the table too - she'll like that.)

I think this is an American thing as in UK we don't have a problem with mixing food. Try just mixing a forkful at a time, then she won't notice that you're mixing your food.

Tell her that all foods get mixed in the stomach anyway. You were just getting impatient.

Depends on the type of food you are eating , if your eating habits are restricted to raw vegetables and curd , then you shud stick to what best suits you , not something which is going to upset your tummy !! :)

no it is improper it makes the food look a bit nasty.... i love to mix my food to but it is just improper to do it... i think it has something to do with like you not liking the food or something
