I have just been drinking water for almost forty days and I have found the effects amazing, such as clearer thinking, more energy, all the detoxification. I was wondering how to break the fast, like what to eat first, and how much. Thanks for all of your insight!

If you did this as a cleanse then good for you. Fasting if done properly can be very beneficial to your physical and emotional being. I hope that you went into food gradually if you have already begun to do so. Absolutely no meat or seafood. Start out with fruits and tread lightly, then go onto other whole foods until your body is equipped to handle getting food again. If you have done this as a cleanse then I would assume you are already into healthy eating or gearing yourself up to it. I would hope that anyone who engages in a fast will absolutely know that they are in the proper health to do so along with doing lots of research.Do some online researching on fasting along with raw vegan foods. All the best of luck to you. I do hope your health is doing well~

40 days sounds like a very long time to drink just water. You've had no vitamins and minerals and no complex carbohydrates or fibre, oils, protein...etc. Was this a really good idea?

If I were you I'd have a health check with your doctor. Start eating small amounts of food right now e.g. banana, rice, semi-skimmed milk, chicken soup....

Hi, Well if you have done this and not ate a thing then, you need to just eat liquidized food. For 3 days then eat small portions. then do see a doctor n get yourself checked.

You need to give your body time to readjust, don't eat anything spicy or greasy. Stick to lots of fiber filled fruits/vegetables and lean meats like seafood. I would also see a doc as you have literally been starving yourself for 40 days. It really is not healthy.

really, really important that you comeoff of it right...either try the brown rice and steamed brocoli diet or a the raw food diet for about 3 days...i guess he fruit fast would also be ok...then gently add food a few at a time over 10days...

Try a Big Mac combo super sized with a chocolate milk shake and a side order of 20 Chicken McNuggets. Then have a hot fudge sundae and an apple pie for dessert.

i would go strait for the junk food like a mcdonalds or kfc and break it in style
