It happens when you are thinking about something else of course. You think that's something?! Once I lost my TV remote for 2 weeks. I found it in the freezer! I figured out that I had the remote in my hand when I went to get some ice for a drink. I set it down, got the ice and closed the door. I looked everywhere for it but I never thought to look in the freezer!

Did that once when I was a child. My brother or my mum had made me mad and completely forgot where I was supposed to be putting what. I was so mad I could not see straight. Luckily, about five minutes later, as I was looking for something else to eat, I noticed what I had done and fixed the problem. I think anger or sadness can cause brain farts. I get them all the time.

Oh believe me, I always am putting the orange juice in the cabinet or something like that. It's normal. I think it's because we do the same thing with the milk and cereal or juice and cup every day that our hands and brain do it subconsciously and we don't realize if we putt something in the wrong spot.

Yep, I just put the milk in the dishwasher and my coffee cup in the fridge! I truly don't know. I'm interested to see the answers, too.

Working on "auto pilot" just got it reversed in the brain. Somtimes it's stress (you may not even be aware of the stress), sometimes it's lack of quality sleep

When I do that type of thing, I'm usually not concentrating on what I'm doing. My mind is focusing on something else, like something else I have to do, or I'm really in a hurry.
