Hey! I am 14 years old and was wanting to know if taking a diet pill would help me lose weight. I do daily excercise and I am on a realistic diet. So do you know any pills that are safe for me to take?

Thanx so much!

Haley, the problem is none of them work. They may temporarily help you lose weight but when you are off of them, or your body builds up tolerance to them, then you gain it back.

Losing weight is not losing weight if you gain it back.

That’s what diet pills do, why do you think there is a new popular one every few months.
Now if you wonder if there are any good supplements and my answer is yes.
There are some supplements that you can take that can enhance a very healthy diet and fitness program and help you to stay committed to it.
7 Keto is an awesome metabolic enhancing compound that helps to reduce body weight and body fat by giving you more of a hormone that tells your thyroid to increase your metabolism. You may say wow, that’s what I need. No, the 7-Keto is all you need, not the other stuff. Yes but no, see the body can only take so much of it at a time before its eliminated by the blood and the rest becomes expensive urine. So you cant just take it alone, it must be part of a plan.

Hoodia by itself, not combined with other compounds, appears to affect the brain by making the stomach feel full and reducing the desire to eat.
Offers safe, caffeine-free, non-stimulant weight management support when used alone. It also may help in metabolizing fats.

Multivitamins - help you maintain the muscle that you have by providing nutrients your cells need. Understand if you don’t put enough nutrients in your body, you will lose muscle because your body will eat the muscle for those nutrients.

These supplements should be part of an overall lifestyle change, to a healthier one.

Please dont! There is no real safe pill. They all have a risk.
Unless you are terribly overweight and your Dr recommended it. Id wait. You are still growing and changing and that may affect your body. Id say wait on the diet pills unless you get a Drs opinion or till at least 18yrs or so old.
Also, you cant be on diet pills forever. You have to learn to eat right for life.
Keep up what you are doing now! It sounds like you are on the right road. It doesnt happen overnight but if you keep it up after a month or so you will see some changes. The first month is the hardest and it only gets easier after that. Keeping busy is the key!

YES!!! pills are dangerous at any age, because the solution to issues of weight are not to be found in a pill, PERIOD!!! It is always an issue of getting fit (this doesn't involve a number). Here's what actually works, time-tested and proven. 1. Exercise consistently (daily) for about an hour. You must work up a sweat, get your heart-rate up, and wear out some muscles for this to count as exercise. 2. Eat sensibly and frequently. Everything else that you can be told about losing weight is garbage. Also, it is important to note that the issue is never the number that is on the scale. It is getting fit that is the real issue. Pills never help.

Don't take them. They are ineffective and extremely bad for you. Dieting is bad for you actually. Lots of girls your age are concerned about their weight, often unnecessarily. First, take and objective look at your weight and body size. Are you really over weight or is it just how you feel. Get a medical opinion. Remember you are still growing, girls your age need a bit of fat. If you are active then you may have more muscle which is much heavier than fat. Excessive dieting will reduce that which is a bad thing. If you genuinely have a problem then look at what it is in your lifestyle that has caused it and change those things. Make changes you can live with and that don't make you miserable.

good luck

You'll do what you want in the end, but I personally dont think diet pills work, I havent taken any, and i think if they did work, everyone would be thin an slim, dont you think? Think about that. Now, what I will advise you, is to be healthy. Im not saying to overwork yourself or turn vegan. Im saying cut down on the junk food, there are healthier foods and snacks out there that arent all fatty and taste yummy at the same time. So cut it back and find alternatives for your sweet tooth craving. Such as pop tarts, granola bars, cereal like honey bunches of oats, fruity pebbles, reeses even. Eat more sugar free stuff. Try and stay off sofa, its also bad for your skin, switch to juice(: Orange juice, tampico juice, cool aid, tropicana , try v8 juice ITS BOMB, the v8 fruit smoothie strawberry banana is amazing and addictive ! Lol i can drink the whole thing in an hour when trying to space it out and make it last me but its so dam good. Work out, start off easy, and work your way up. Run on a tredmil or ride a bike, do squats, sit ups or crunches, lunges, take breaks, long as you feel the burn, its working. Take it easy when you start out, then over time start working out for longer periods of time, start doing more push ups, more sit ups, more running. DONT GIVE UP. Just think, if you really want to lose weight or tone up, a body like the one you may want to have, will not just fall upon you and instantly change your appearance overnight. It may suck working out, it may hurt. And leave you sore. But it will be well worth it in the end! And you will love your results and love what you have accomplished and done for yourself! And your health! And know that all it all happened with you, you get all the credit. Not just some stupid little pill.

I am only barely 2 years older than you, but I've never tried taking pills. I don't know, sorry... but whatever it is, I hope you reach your goal. Cheers.

You are older than me, so what do I know? I wouldn't really recommend it at 14, but BioSlim is usually alright. And Metabolife. Always read the box though coz they can have really bad side effectss.
