You don't want a small breakfast. Breakfast should be the largest meal you have, it sets your body up for a long day. Eat foods like oatmeal that leave you feeling fuller for longer. Have a cup of yoghurt and some trail mix as a snack, not a bag of chips. Lunch is second largest and should include carbs and proteins and greens. Dinner should be smaller and go easy on the carbs. You need to work on eating more filling and healthy foods, and you also need to eat balanced meals at proper times. You're eating more because you're working out, when I train I eat about 2500-3000 calories a day because I'm HUNGRY and burning it off. Or, you need your blood sugar and insulin levels tested to make sure you're not diabetic or hypoglycemic. Regardless, see your doctor. You should see your doc before you attempt to change your diet or lose weight.

I'd at least eat some crackers and vernors or ginger ale. If you don't have any food in your body it can make you sick to your stomach and can be harder for your body to fight whatever you are sick with. Your body needs at least SOME energy.

When I was younger I was hospitalized quite a bit for severe asthma. The medications I was on made me sick to my stomach and I wasn't hungry at all. The doctors and my parents told me I had to eat a little bit because it would make me feel better. I had chicken noodle soup and crackers and sometimes bread. It really did help. The food coated my stomach so to speak.

Just don't go over board and eat heavy, greasy foods. It will make you throw up. Just eat a little. I guarantee it'll make you feel better. Remember- crackers and vernors. Oh, and get lots of rest.

If you've had a tummy bug then before you eat anything take a good slug of whiskey or some other strong spirit, to kill any remaining germs. Then you should be OK to eat something. Trust your body though, it should let you know when it's ready for food. Ensure you are drinking plenty, sports drinks should help replenish the salts and sugars you have lost during you illness. Hope you feel better soon.

I suggest nibbleing on some saltine crackers or maybe eating a tiny bit of toast. I wouldn't go right back to eating before your body tells you it's ready. I wouldn't eat when i'm not hungry any more than i'd go pee when I don't have a full bladder.
However, the crackers might be a good thing to make your tummy feel better.

If you stopped throwing up, start eating light jello, clear broth, tea with honey and/or sugar, dry toast and/or crackers. Drink some Gatorade and water. You need to keep hydrated and get some nutrients back in your system. You don't have to eat a lot, just a bite or two every so often.

Yes, you should eat something but it has to be something your body can consent there will be a chance that it will make you feel better as there will be a chance that it will make you fell worse. Just dont eat anything greasy.

Well, when I'm sick, but not hungry, i always eat a piece of bread. It's light and wont make you want to throw up. I hope you feel better!

Eat very slowly...that way you can tell if your system can tolerate the food or not....plus if you haven't eaten for 3 days, it probably has to "get used to" food again.

In my history, in your situatin, I would eat chicken noodle soup, dry toast (or with just a touch of butter), or saltine crackers.

Make sure you drink water...perhaps a bit of gatorade.

Yes, because when you are sick you usually dont feel hungry, but your body needs the nutrients and vitamins, so eat some, but dont go over board !!
