Hi there,
Your K10 micra is right on the interval change handbook suggests that the belt be changed every 60k miles if built between Nov 88 and end Dec 91, then
From Jan 92 till model change(93), every 54k miles or 60mths(5yrs)

any older (or modern) automobile with timing belts needs to have them replaced every 25,000 to 30,000 miles

keep check on condition of belt if u notice inside of belt cracking replace it
