My mamaw is looking for one cause she loves them. On monday, she got a small weiner dog named maggie. my mamaw was sooo attached to it the first hour. but the owner called saying that her son was crying over her. so me my cousin and my papaw had to meet up at a BP to give her back. I'm really hoping to find her one soon.
Can anyone plz help me out?

go to petfinder.com.....this is a site for rescue groups.....just enter your Zip code, and enter breed wanted, like Dachshund,and be AMAZED at how many great choices you have !!.....i recently adopted a great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is awesome !!.....check it out.....try it.....do a good deed.....adopt a Dachshund today !!!.....good luck to you, in your search for a Dachshund as a new pet !!!!....most adoptions run between $ 50 to $ 200 maximum, for a wonderfull dog, who will be very happy to be your new pet !!!

FYI...most reputable rescue groups/shelters strongly recommend that animals not be given away for free. Be prepared to pay some type of adoption fee for your dog.

If you are going to be a responsible owner, please find out the real name for this dog and do research on the breed instead of reacting so emotionally. The dog and you will be happier.

check to see if there are any dog rescue places in the area. if there are tell them you are looking for a dog and they will tell you what kinds that they have
also check the dog pound in the area
