I have had her 5 years, when the kids play she tries to take the toys away from them and will nip at their feet. She is very possessive of anything the kids try to play with. She has never really bitten hard but she does nip. what would you do?

I am very attached to my dogs, so I would not say to get rid of the dog. Usually they are your family before the child. However, if you feel there is a danger with the children, they should be your first priority. I would reccommend taking the dog to a trainer or even disciplining the dog when she is going to nip. You can also get a mussle. Talk to your vet, they should have very good ideas on what to do! Good luck

Maybe the kids are very playful maybe too playful but also she maybe very possesive of her things. I once tried playing with the dog his toy was under the table when i bent down to get it the dog bit me on my chin so that might be the issue.

My german sheppard was the same, she got so jealous of the attention; you need to be careful of this and discipline the dog harder when the kids are nearby.
