Me personally most dads love to spend time with their kids depending on the job they have. And see I'm a card specialist go into a hallmark and it might take you an hour or so to find the perfect card. But believe me when you see you'll know it, and to add a soft touch get him some of that Sean Paul Gauthier cologne dad will go crazy.

If your dad is anything like mine its a nightmare to shop for them, because he doesn't really have any interest in anything. He works, sleeps and eats. The only thing I have found that he actually takes an interest in is the world record books, he likes reading about all the little odd facts and stuff.
My advice is to think of the one thing he really enjoys and try and link it to something you can buy.

Anything a child gets for their Dad is great especially if the child picks it out or makes it on their own.

My Dad is happy for a card at least and a phone call. If you can get to see him on his special day too even better.

Good luck

It depends on what they are intrested in. Generally a nice tie or something for their car is a safe way to go. If he travels a lot, I have found from personal exprience that they love pictures of their family.

If he is anything like me he wont want you to spend a lot of money
Supermarkets sell some good brands of beer (real ale) not expensive and very tasty. Select a few bottles for him to sample.
