lol i knw a guy we have a mad relationship... not best frends tho. just weird chemistry,, shud i wait for us to become gud frends? he is also very flirty with other girls :o

You can ask a guy out, it doesn't make you a ****. All it means is that you are comfortable enough with yourself and/or your feelings to not be too afraid to ask them. In my opinion, it makes you brave.

Everything hinges on the "way" you ask him....and the words you use. It will also show where your head is at if he refuses, so you ask the guy next to him right away. You present the attitude that"if I can't get it from you, the next warm body will do". The second guy will also note that as a slutty thing to do and may refuse you as well.
Guys can "sense" things too. Just like you can sense that he is interested but just can't seem to get the words out comfortably. Tongue tied is the term to use.
Maybe they feel that if they ask it is an "invasion into your privacy bubble" that we all have and he doesn't want to do that out of respect.
I can't tell you how to act (for I do not know if you want to be one way or the other) but I am assuming that you want to be sexy.
It might also help to be the somewhat seemingly helpless damsel in distress.
I know THAT sounds corny...but telling you what works too is kinda weird. I thought that is what you girls talk about in the "washroom", so you know already.
Note too, that some guy will be "in to you" and some will not. It is where their headspace is at, at the time. Some plan careers and are working towards them and don't need the distraction. Others, well, don't have a future of excitement and will grab what is available now.

It can be sexy and a compliment to the guy. I don't think there's anything slutty about a girl asking someone to go out.

It all depends on the guy but I would lean towards sexy, not slutty. Its slutty (in my opinion) if a girl asks a guy for a shag. Asking for a date should be allowed and encouraged. Its 2007 afterall :)

Sexy yes.
Relief yes (as was afraid if asked you out you would go nuts and never want to speak to him again.
Also relief as was in a panic on how to impress you and get you to come out with him, causing lots of stress.
Great as means you like him.
Means you wont be doing him a favour by letting him kiss or touch you as you like it too.
Ask the dude out and make it clear you fancy him.
guys love it unless an sexist ashole.
ard to get is like playing kiss chase AFTER you start dating when you know you are cool with each other.
And he knows you won't get all scared think hes stalking you and have him arrested as some pervert which he aint. He just likes you.
When dating then it can be fun but not before as will think you dont like him.

I think it's empowering! I asked my boyfriend out, it's a real confidence booster.
Honestly, we aren't in the middle ages anymore, and women SHOULD be aggressive enough to ask a guy out. I think assertiveness and confidence is very sexy.
So, if guys think that is slutty...I really wouldn't waste my time on them.
I would talk to the guy to make sure the connection is the same on both ends and if it is...
ask him out. :)

Be being shy i would be overwhelmed, i think its great. But i reckon its about time it becomes normal for girls to ask guys out as well. You'd want to be friends first or at least know the guy otherwise that may come off as a bit suspicious but why not?

i asked a guy out! It was the best thing i ever did! He loves me for my courage and loved it even more that i asked him out while he was at work at the kiosk in sainsburys and all his colleagues saw it happen. He's shy but he loved it! It's not slutty- i would never have done it if i didn't like him as much as i do

I'd be flattered to have a girl ask me out. Why not. For women are fighting for equality with men, so since women equal, women can take the dominant role and aske a guy out?

It's no longer a man world. It wouldn't be any more slutty for a girl to ask a guy out than it is for a guy to do so. Women can take charge and run their own lives.
