I am a serious Christian, or at least I am trying to be. But one of the things I am wondering is how you would explain the evidence of evolution. I believe that God created everything, which is what the Bible tells us, but some of my friends have questioned me on the evolution issue, and I don't have anything to tell them except that I believe God created everything because that's what he said in the Bible. Gathering all the evolution facts has almost made me doubt this, though, which scares me. Animal species are similar, and humans may have changed? So if anyone can tell me how they would explain all the evidence of evolution, I'd appreciate it.

The introduction to Genesis and to the whole Bible ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of Divine revelation. One must be true the other false. All of God’s works are good, great, wondrous, and perfect.

Man starts from nothing. He begins in helplessness, ignorance, and inexperience. All his works, therefore, proceed on the principle of evolution. This principle is only seen in human affairs: from the hut to the palace; from the canoe to the ocean liner; from the spade to the plowshare to machines. But the birds build their nests today as at the beginning. There is growth and development within man, but no passing, change, or evolution out from one into another.

For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be evident stages of evolution today. You would be able to find species in many stages of evolution in nature right now. For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be no God. And that’s exactly what evolutionists believe and are trying prove. The evolutionist bases his or her conclusions on human assumptions and reasoning, instead of on the documentary evidence of the manuscripts.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

Go to www.evidenenceofgod.com and order a book like "Dismantling Evolution" or "Creation vs. Evolution" there, each are by Raplph O. Muncaster (you may also find those books at amazon.com or something). Do that if you want to get into serious detail. You can also find facts and articles from the Institution for Creation Research at www.icr.org .
Other than that, if you do not want to go into research, than consider this:
The theory of evolution assumes that somehow, events made DNA chains that formed a bacterium (a simpler version of the species bacteria), which is the simplest organism believed to have ever lived on earth. The theory goes on to state that through natural selection and mutations, the species became more complex over millions of years and different bacteriums in different parts of the world evolved into different animals and plants. We all (plants, animals, germs, and people), come from bacterium and are related (distantly) in that way. That is what the "scientific" atheists believe.
Of course, that does not answer certain questions, such as how events could create such something as complex as a DNA chain (even the DNA of a simple bacterium would be quite complex in order for the species to survive), especially since if any thing was the slightest bit wrong, the combination would not work. Or even why would a simply bacterium have to evolve so much to survive? Bacteria are perfectly fine the way that they are now, why did their ancestors, bacteriums, need to become humans and animals that have complex organs and bodily systems and things that make them vulnerable so that if a certain organ fails, they die. Isn't evolution all about survival? And natural selection does not cause species to gain traits or genes, it just makes species lose them. How can that make a creature more complex. The only way is through mutations, but only 1 out of 1,000 mutations are positive, usually mutations make survival more difficult for an animal. And even if a mutation is positive, how many times do you see a mutation pass onto offspring? And this same mutation would have to occur in a significant amount of the population in order to make a difference.

First of all u must realize that man (according to the bible) was "created" from an element of the earth called "dust" and not from just mere nothing as in the case of everything else.

Secondly u should investigate the Hebrew words for "dust, Adam & man" to get a clearer picture of what the bible is trying to explain. In doing this u will see that the Hebrew word for 'dust' is a word called "adamah" which means- of the ground, reddish, soil.

This word 'adamah' came from the Akkadian words 'A' meaning life and 'Dam' meaning blood. This means that the dust spoken of in the bible, is really sybolic of blood and this blood came from a being "of the ground (adamah)"- the evoluted man/ woman. Then God combined his image & likeness using this dust to "create" us.

This is a truth that (most) religious people try to run away from but the evidence is there. Check it out.

Yes, you have a good question. There are two groups within Christendom, Creationalist and Noncreastionalist. Creationalists believe that it goes against the bible to believe in evolution, to believe that God might have made things to come from other things and evolve over time. They believe that the 6 days of creation were 24 hour days. I have been a born again Christian for 31 years and have come to believe through studying science and the scriptures that they coincide beautifully together. Peter says in 2 Peter, "A day to the Lord is as a 1,000 years and a 1,000 years as a day." What does that mean? That maybe the 6 days of creation weren't necessarily 24 hour days. That maybe the time periods God is calling a day in the creation story were really time periods that lasted thousands of years. When you think of creation in this light, it also helps explain who the people that Cain was afraid would kill him after he killed Abel were and where his wife came from. Keep searching and God will set right whatever is true. Good question.

First you have to understand what the theory of Evolution actually is about. It is really just about change and adaptation for survival. The ape to man theory was something taken out of context and used as a rebuttal the evolution. So this is my idea:
God created life, gave us the ability to adapt and evolve to fit our surroundings. Without the ability to adapt we would have died out. Evolution is evident by our own body. Ex: Tailbones, appendix, and extra kidney.Theory is these things were once needed so they would of course be present. Humans are not the only creatures to have evolved. Ex: different breeds of animals, etc..
The easiest example of intelligent design and evolution working together is birth.
We start out as basically nothing. Two fluids come together and create a reaction (hence, pregnancy). The baby grows until it is able to survive outside the womb with help of course. Outside the womb, it still thrives, grows, learns and adapts, until it becomes an adult, still growing and adapting until death.
I fully believe God was smart enough to create us, he gave us the abiltiy to evolve and survive.

The first sentence in the Bible is: "In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1. That was more than 6,000 years ago when Adam was created. Heavens are inhabited by spirits who participate in divine nature to do the will of GOD. Earth is not part of the heavens yet because man is created with the freewill: The ability to consider, to decide and to choose. In the Garden of Eden in Paradise, Revelation 2:7, Adam chose not to participate in divine knowledge but rather have his own wisdom like GOD. In such a case, life can only be temporary. This has been the case from the beginning.

The LORD GOD says: "In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory." Haggai 2:6&7. Those specimens found under the ground or under the seas are the remains of the casualties of the previous shakeups.

The next shake up which is fast approaching, shall be the last shake. The LORD GOD says so in the above quotation. Also, Jesus Christ teaches us to pray that our earth shall become one of the heavens where the will of GOD is done. The rescue Mission of Jesus Christ has guaranteed that. I will explain.

The purpose of the Mission of Jesus Christ is to reconcile to GOD the spirit of man that died in Paradise in the Garden of Eden. He did this by His resurrection and thus become the only way to the Father. When baptism is properly done according to the guidelines, it unites one with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. Then one is born of water. That reconciled spirit can then be led by the Spirit to participate in divine nature 2 Peter 1:4 to do the will of GOD and have the righteousness of GOD. So, the Mission of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with flesh and blood.

In the meantime, let us await the Last Day, the Day of the LORD, a terrible day, the last of the shakes.

God says man was created in His image.
God created man from the dust of the earth.
God breathed life into the first man.
Evolution has no "connections" in its theories.
To believe that, from evolution, we can theorize these deductions:
From ameobas in water, we slowly evolved into lungs, where we went onto land with legs, went back into the water, back on land, had hair, walked in a hunch and hung from trees, where only a portion of these primates evolved into todays mankind.
- why didn't the other primates evolve with the rest?
- where did our hair go?
- where did the tail go?
Evolution was created to prove that an Creator could not have the complete intelligence to make us as we are today.
It likes the watch argument. The face was made in Japan 15,000 years ago, coming up from a volcano. The hands were created by chance of Maya Indians in Mexico. The working pieces were scattered across the Sahara Desert, created by years of wind across the sands. The band was just made yesterday by a kid across the street, but lost it playing football. The watch mysteriously came together last night, all working together in perfect tune.
Sorry, I don't have enough faith to believe that theory.
Only intelligent design from God can prove our existence as it is.

There are several points that I always take into consideration.

The Bible is not, necessarily, the history of the world as much as it is the history of God's attempts to reconcile man and God.

Evolution is a part of science and yes even humans evolve, or grow, but this is just another tool that God uses in His desire to bring reconciliation to mankind.

But then that's just the thoughts of this Christian Pastor.

Evolution has become more of a philosophy, as the evidence for this theory is less and less compelling. We are discovering living examples of "transitional forms," and no other area of scientific discovery is more suspect than the fossil record. Hoaxes are abundant, and radiologic dating is proving to be a bit less accurate than originally thought.

Creationism is also a theory, but we acknowledge that we base our point of view largely on faith. Evolutionists don't do this, and work very hard to remove a loving Creator from their writings.

Too many to post. Read. Dig into some books on Creation. There are scientific books as well that blend creationism and evolution. Be careful.

God Bless
