If something can be said here that is genuine...from the heart...or better yet from God's will that it be heard here...then as Christians we should just follow God's lead.
If I am answering in a spiritual capacity...I try to type the answer without interjecting too much of my own OPINION in the answer. God's word or His word thru how he uses us is what helps others. If he can use me for HIS glory...let my fingers do the typing.
Best thing to do is pray about it what HIS will is for us.

I will tell you what. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get upset, but in all I enjoy this b/c I am learning from other Christians that will help me in my own walk and when I am talking with unbelievers in a serious one on one.
I find sometimes I have to log off b/c someone offends me or b/c I can hear more sarcasm in my posts.
But really and truthfully, I have learned a lot and can look at things or explain things differently than I may have been b4.
I also think any witnessing to others on Gods behalf, as long as it is good witnessing cant be bad.
Good tool? I am not sold, but good use for information and knowledge, I do believe.
Just be careful and as soon as you think you are not being a good witness, log off and come back another day.
Always pray too.
God Bless and I hope you stay.

PERSONALLY I do not play games when it comes to spreading GOD'S word.
After you have been here a couple weeks you can sort out most of the sincere inquiries from the rude insincere ones.
I have reached several new friends so far, concerning salvation.
Thumbs up for posting this question!

As an ex christian, i find christians to be a source of endless entertainment, theyre closed minded to any other possibilities, ignorant of science and real spirituality, arrogant in thinking that they have the one true path.......everything Jesus taught agianst is what a christian is.
Thats why Lao Tzu founder of the Way (established 500 years before christianity) is my mentor.
In answer to the commonly asked WWJD: Ill tell you what he wouldnt do:
Jesus wouldn't:
1. Start a religion.
2. Build a church building.
3. Condemn or attack people.
4. Fill people with fear to gain followers.
5. Teach an eternal hell.
6. Call the Bible God's word.
7. Make people wait for heaven, someday.
8. Fill people with guilt & shame to gain followers.
9. Ask or want to be worshipped.
10. Teach that people "have to do something" to be "saved."
11. Teach that God is vengeful and full of wrath.
12. Love people conditionally.
13. Teach that some people will be lost eternally.

As a tool to dispel misunderstandings about our faith, yes. Unfortunately, many people here only want to "stir it up." If I see an honest question, I'll answer it. If I see someone trying to bait Christians into a flame war, I call them on it in a non-confrontation way.

(2Timothy 4:1-to-5) Therefore I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the living and the dead according to His appearance and His kingdom,
(2Ti 4:2) PREACH the Word, = = be instant in season = = and out of season, = = reprove, = = rebuke, = = exhort with all long-suffering = = and doctrine.
(2Ti 4:3) For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.
(2Ti 4:4) And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.
(2Ti 4:5) But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.
NEED I SAY MORE THAN THE WORD DOES? ? ? ?
Thanks, RR

I think it has a draining effect on christians and clouds the real issues. No I don't think it makes for a good witness...most of it is addictive and argumentive

I would think that God would want us to use any tool available to use to spread the Word of GOD.

speaking as an atheist, if you want to even try to convert someone like me, you might try using a little reason and science insteat of the traditional methods.
