Surgical grade stainless steel is one of the better types of metal you can get for body jewelry. It contains few impurities and is safe for just about everyone's skin and body which is why hospitals use it as well as titanium and niobuim.

Bellybars refers to a bent or curved barbell that is the common jewelry type found for navel piercings.
