she's not the head of the protestant faith. she's the symbolic head of the Church of England, aka the Anglican Church brought about when Henry VIII couldn't divorce his wife, Cathrine of Aragon, because the Pope, who at the time was considered even higher than the king bc he was God's Regent on Earth, according to the Catholic church, ruled that his petition for annulment was denied because his marriage had been consumated, and was legal in the eyes of God and man. So, Henry took the bold step of founding the Church of England, a rogue church, so that divorce would be legal, and he could marry Anne Bolyen. Every English monarch since then has been the offical head of the Church of England, but that's as far as the power goes. there is no central authority in the Protestant faith, because there is no central Protestant faith. all are branches broken off for one reason or another from Luthranism.

To be more specific, she's the head of the Anglican Church of England. Study the history of Queen Elizabeth 1 for more information.

The Anglican church was formed when Henry VIII split from Rome in the 15th Century and was formed with the sovereign as the head of state and church. Today the Queen is known as the defender of the faith and she is also head of state, but although she performs various ceremonial roles relating to both spitritual and temporal power she in reality does nothing other than that her priests and ministers advise/tell her to.

Of the Church of England, yes. Only this church, and only in England. She is the "defender of the faith". This is a relic of the reformation in England. The English church and English royalty have always been interrelated. She is only a symbolic head, however, she plays a ceremonial role.

She is not the head of anything .... but rather a figurehead.... as a Prtestant myself.... the head of the protestant church is Jesus Christ.... he alone mediates for man... he alone has authority to forgive.... there is no earthly man or woman as a "head" of the protestant churches.... only Jesus Christ, this is why he said:John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Notice the period after "but by me." Showing us that we have no need of another mediator besides him.

Oh yes Jesus said to become as rich as possible and set yourself apart from others by claiming that you are better than others because of the family you are born in. He also said to live in castles and lead a rich, decadent and extravegant life. Yeah that's what Jesus taught. She is a hypocrite and a fraud. The whole royal family is a joke and the people of of Great Briain should be ashamed to still be supporting such nonsense.

Nominally yes she is head of the Church of England but in practical terms that doesn't count for much.

I think the Monarchs are figure heads of the Church. I think you would have to go back to King Henery, to find out why.
