the sink. He will sit on the edge of the counter in the bathroom & kitchen & just stare into the sink, like there is something there.

There is nothing not even a drop of water in the sink. Can he hear sounds coming from the pipes that we cant hear? Its kinda weird.

Thanks for your help.

It may be that there are tiny little bugs there, I have had that happen. Pour some bleach down the drain, and the overflow hole as well, and see if you cat is no longer interested.

Its possible. Cats stare at the oddest things sometimes. My cats have never stared at the sink, though.

You cat could be hearing something in the pipes and is curious to know what it is, so simply sits there and stares. Cats are naturally curious and are very persistant when they want to find out about something.

The cat has probably found bugs in the sink before. My cat loves to stare at the space beneath our apartment stove ever since she found a mouse underneath it!

Cats hearing is a lot better than ours, so its quiite possible he can hear interesting plumbing noises. Either that or he's seen a spider go down the plughole

cats are wierd, I love em, don't get me wrong but they can become fixated on things and just can't stop...
My cat will sit in my lap and just stare at me, just stare, like for hours, it's very strange, like she expects something to happen...you should take a video of it and post it on youtube...sounds like a riot...
