Drs use beepers when on duty in most hospitals. I was wondering what models are in use as I am looking to buy a bleeper that will wake me up when a message arrives. The Drs pager must be the best - thats why i want to know

Basically you're looking for a pager that beeps the loudest. All beepers also have a vibrate function. It really depends on what sound frequency and loudness best gets your attention or whether the vibration can be felt. There are a lot of different makes and models of beepers but usually the kind you have is limited by the service provider that the hospital uses. Ask where the hospital gets their beepers and if its a local company you can go there and test whatever models they offer to see which one suits you.
