Does anybody else think that maybe we should stop all the Irish stuff and all the Orange march stuff and just be proud of Scotland?

If the Irish were not strong enough to save Ireland that's there problem, why should it be part of the scottish league?

If the Orange marches want to love the queen, move to England and support Chelsea.

Why can't the old firm just be a passionate Glasgow derby rather than a political riot?

Come on guys, cut out the Irish and English Bull Sh*t and just be proud of Scotland!!!

Lets have a league without the pro irish, anti english/ pro english anti irish influence. Who cares if people are catholic, protestant or muslim. Who cares if the players are white or black. Lets have a league that we can be proud of.

Lets move out of the 15th century and into 21th century.

Lets look at Rangers & Celtics religious history, not with pride but as an example of how far we have moved on.

Lets keep the beauitiful game, beauitiful.

Anyone Agree?

yeah i agree with you celtic play in SCOTLAND not ireland and half of the scots that walk around with irish national tops just because they support celtic are dilluded, rangers and celtic play in scotland so lets get rid of the irish tri colour and the union jack and start flying st andrews crosses and be proud of scotland! what get really gets to me is that half of the fans that turn out at ibrox and parkhead each weekend know nothing of the religion they claim to follow, half of them haven't been to church in their lifes just becuase you're brought up supporting celtic doesn't mean that you can preach about knowing all things irish and catholic, you're scottish and celtic play in scotland SO BE PROUD TO BE SCOTTISH. get rid of the religion in football and make it a good derby not a a ton of religious hate. SCOTLAND TO THE DEATH!

Totally agree. Over in Edinburgh very few people know what the offensive names the so called Old Firm fans call each other mean. I am lucky to have many friends who follow the Gers and we take no part in the sectarian hatred that seems to follow these teams. I follow Celtic and my friends now know that I have bragging rights till the next round of the cup. Boy will I have a good time but it will be taken in the manner it is given. In fun and friendship. At the end of the day we still have to work and socialise together so lets make football more fun and cut out all this mince. Just for Sluttee's attention. We are from Ayrshire and if all the fans in the county followed our example then I think this would rid us of the inbreds. Take care all and enjoy your football regardless of who you support.

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a proud Scot and Celtic fanatic. I cannot abide the hatred that some supporters seem to tarnish our clubs with. Religion ,colour or creed should not be an issue. Of course I would hate the intense rivalry to diminish. Infact, as supporters we should be thankful that a small country like Scotland has 2 such unique clubs. We should be proud. Personally, i would not care if 11 trained chimps played for my team as long as they were committed and proud to wear the hoops.

Absolutley! It is refreshing to see another Scot who can think freely from the chains of medieval Bullsh*t. I mean think about it, all that drum beating and orange sash boll*cks , I am so sure her grace Queen Betty down in London is ever so proud of her ''scotch'' supporters and equally that green Erin loving horde of ''plastic paddys'' with their misgiuded terrorist chants .The truth is , all the Ireland v Protestant English led Britain crapola has nothing to do with sport or with the advancement of a proud small nation that is Scotland and never did! We will never truly shine as a nation with its own backbone and stand up proud and staight and tell the world as one '' WE ARE SCOTS! '' sorry for getting all politically charged there but it had to be said PEACE!

Totally agree, but it will never happen. Know why? The majority of these people thrive on the hatred and can't forget religious history.
The bile and hatred caused by this fixture is the reason some of these people follow their particular clubs!!!

if you know the history Celtic were formed to help the Irish in Scotland as a charity so our history has Irish catholic back ground as for being Scottish remmember the Irish helped the Scots army against the English that was the catholic Irish who came over to fight against our rivals....but your question about the hatred what about the English???? are we not the UK???? then why do u hate them then???? i am proud to be Scottish but our history is that the catholic Irish fought with us like brothers in arms against our enemy not the so called orange me??? so u should be proud to be Scottish and hold Ur arms out to the Irish that helped us in the battles against the English

Seriously, I thought you had written 'Old film fans' but I'll answer anyway.
I totally agree. Right now this sort of sectarian bias and tribalism has no place anywhere, but especially in the so called arena of fair play in sport. As long as it continues there will be unrest and animosity. May it soon be gone.

Thing is, Mike, it's not the Weegies that are the worst, it's the inbreds from Ayrshire and Lanarkshire who hold on to the hatred. Most Glaswegian supporters that I know, HAVE moved on and live in a more cosmopolitan society and are therefore more tolerant. Its the bawheids who live in Kilwinning, New Stevenson etc that keep it alive!

Also, the influx of Irish people who come over every week to support one or t'other is just not right! Can't they get a fitba league of there own?
