I know I'm not anorexic or bulimic or whatever, but anyway I dunno if there may be something wrong with me. I need to be skinny (like a supermodel) I just.. i feel horrible. Im 15 yrs, 55kg and 164cm. i run about 10km a day, go horse riding every couple of days, situps etc and eat about 500-700(max) calories a day. I maintain my weight at this. I also chew and spit lollies and stuff sometimes (will I gain weight from this?) I only loose weight if I continue my exercise as it is but eat around 200-300 calories, but I am too hungry and weak and I feel sick when i go this. I am completely obsessed with looking at skinny people and thinking about food and calories it takes over my mind. Its almost all i think about. Is there something wrong with me? There are some days when I eat a bit more (700-800cals) and wnat to be healthy and I exercise but these ideas soon leave my mind in less than a day and im back to feeling gross and restricting more etc.Can anyone help?

Well, it's okay to be obsessed about how you look, but does anyone make you feel like you have to be this way. Liking who you are is a big part of how you see yourself and how we think others perceive us. So if you don't like yourself and think a lot of what others think of you, and you feel that being skinny is going to solve the answers, think again. You have to relax. Your calorie intake is too low. When you eat less and exercise, you zap the energy you have and these feelings come around. Sometimes when you eat less, your mind does tend to get a little crazy (moody, bitchy, frantic, you tend to get insecure about yourself & you may develop feelings such as others not liking who you are). But healthy eating habits and a balanced meal and maybe a little caffeine will give you the opposite feelings. You have to heal your mind first, think about what you like about yourself or dislike, take steps, think about what you want to accomplish with how you take care of your body (keeping it slim) and eating enough throughout the day and go from there. Eat lots of fruits and veggies, healthy clean proteins, eat salmon (get omega 3s) take a daily multi vitamin. Just relax, get rest, drink water, drink tea, don't eat junk (fast foods, salty and sugary crap). Meditate, and just be good to yourself. See a nutritionist if you have to.

You have a warped body image. You are obsessed with how other's look and how you look in comparison. This will get you nowhere in life. You must stop this now before it totally consumes who you are. WHO CARES WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE? Seriously. There is no one sitting around thinking about YOU like you are thinking about YOU... it's just YOU. Stop being paranoid about that. Who cares? In the grand scheme of things who gives a crap what you look like? Focus on who you are on the inside and the rest will fall into place. I promise. Let me give you an example. Do you think Marilyn Monroe is pretty? Did you know that she was once a size 14 (this is an American measurement... not sure what the equivalent is for you), and she was STILL as gorgeous as ever. Probably more so... and it wasn't because she was skinny (she wasn't!), it was because she exuded this confidence that made her so beautiful. You need to find what is lovely and wonderful about yourself, what you have to offer the world, and leave this body image stuff alone.

Look, I'm 18, 165cm, and 44kg. I have the same mental obsessions - thinness, food, intake, exercise, calories, magazine models, celebrities, winning, self-control...It's all about knowing yourself and what you want in the future. I'm this way because I suffered anorexia nervosa. I was diagnosed, treated, recovered, and then I fell through the loop again. Right now, I don't know what I want.

What I need to tell you is that you need to decide what it is you want in the future. It's all about choices. You're so young - You have too much time.

Good for you for keeping to limits and knowing that you are "obsessed", but remember that your body deserves respect. Treat it with health and nutrition. Good luck.

I have tried something similar. It got me in hospital. Please don't do this. That is called borderlining anorexia. I eat around 900-1000 kcal a day and am maintaining my weight. I am youger than you and I excercise mainly by walking and runny up the stairs. I too am obsessed with weights and being thin. What clothes size are you planning on being anyway? You'll be supermodel thin at 50-51 kg. But I ain't advising it, not like this.

To lose weight you should eat 1200 calories a day. So you're not eating enough to have a healthy and strong body, which will keep you into your old age. You are destroying your health.
You obviously need professional help. Is there anyone you can talk to? If not, why don't you phone NHS Direct and ask them for help.

There is no one single Paleo Diet, as our ancestors from all over the world ate dramatically different diets depending on the climate where they lived, their landscape, accessibility to water bodies, and the latitude that they lived. This is a detailed meal plan for the paleo diet https://tr.im/Fo7DE

In some cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% plant foods and 10% animal foods, and in other cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% animal foods and 10% plant foods.

For example, our ancestors that lived near the equator had year long access to more plant materials such as root vegetables and various fruits, veggies, and nuts.

On the other hand, our ancestors that lived at higher latitudes further away from the equator only had access to fruits and vegetables seasonally at one specific time period per year, and had larger periods of the year where they ate a higher % of meats, organ meats, fish, and other animal-based foods, or fermented foods that could be stored for winter.

Have you talked about this with a doctor or dietician? They might be able to give you some help or at least some insight as to what you are going through. Good luck with this!
