my boyfriends parents hate me-they dont want him having any contact with me at all-they told him we could never talk again on his cell phone-we're 5 years apart....not 30...GET OVER IT!!
what am i to do?
im very confused because i love him-he loves me-but his parents think our age difference is wayyyyyyy too big.....its only 5 years...not 30....its not that bad...grrrr!!! sometimes i wish we didnt have authority over us....i wanna date who i wanna date and do what i wanna do...=[
any advice?

How old are you? You say the age difference is only 5 years, but does that mean you are 32 or 12? I think your age will affect how people answer this one.

I think that you have every right to do whatever it is that you want, and so does your boyfriend. The only thing that should matter is that you two love each other. His parents should have no reason to interfere in the relationshipn if they do care about him. Five years is actually nothing that should concern them. In fact that should not even be a factor to them. Parents do tend to pry into matters that should otherwise be left alone. The only thing I can see is a big problem is that your boyfriend should calmly set his parents down and explain to them that this is his life and he should be allowed to live it the way he sees fit and that they should trust in the way they have raised him. If he can not do this then I am afraid you have little choice but to break it off with him and hope that he will come to his senses. If the two of you would continue to see each other with the parents being against your relationship this could be big trouble in the future. Ultimately it must be about you and your boyfriend and nobody else.

Bolt your knees together Hun...you're too young for him. Your parents are looking out for your best interest. You see, people when about age 12 or 13 take what I call a "stupid pill" and don't wake up until the mid-twenties to early thirties. Listen to what they say. If you disagree with what everyone says if its not the answer you want to hear...that's a good sign you ain't qualified to make your own decisions yet.

how old are you 22? that makes him 17 and that's just nasty.
If you are 30 and he is 25 then no big deal. Tell th parents to shove it or they won't get to visit their grandchildren.

if you love him and he treats you right go for it ,5 years is not a big age differance.

how old are you ?? i think it is wrong for an older woman to date a younger guy but its ok for a young girl to date an older bloke doesnt seem fare but thats how it goes !!
