If you are a Christian, your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit which lives in you. It should be treasured as such. This is the reason God gave us the instruction to wait. Sex is a beautiful gift when handled properly, something that should only be given to one person. Waiting makes it that much better, and it feels better emotionally. It is more pleasing to God, to see his children obeying what he has said and respecting their bodies that hold his Holy Spirit.

Yea that is the largest misconception in society today. They believe that there is no problem with having sex before they get married. "were living in the 90's" lots will tell you. Little do they think about all the aborted baby's, children w.o homes. Children who live with abusive (physically and sexually) parents. Most all of the cases come from people having sex without being married. I thought the same thing when i was a teenager but now that I'm older and know more i will not. the media has gained such control over our youth's minds that they don't know right from wrong anymore. Schools don't help either. If anything they are more destructive than the media when they teach about and i quote "safe sex" There is NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX. I know a bunch of people who have got their girlfriend pregnant even though they were waring a condom and people on birth control can still get pregnant. The bible tells us in the end of day the wrong will appear right and the right will appear wrong so I am not shocked whenever i hear people say that it is not wrong to have sex before marriage.

Sex is sex no matter what people want to think. There are many verses that contain adultery and fornication. Here is a few that will help you...Exodus 20:14 "Thou shalt not commit adultery." Mark 10:19 "Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother." 1 Corinthians 7:1" Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."

rather than "believe" it would be more proper to say agree... and yes I do... from personal experience, and from observation, I agree with the instruction of TheBibles words on this subject. It cheapens the individual and the act. Ones Body is The only thing that one has in this world that is truly ones own... it should not be given or taken lightly... and should only be shared with the most important one in ones life...with emphasis on the life part...not on passing lustful fantacies.... the most important one in ones life deserves the most prescious gift that can be given... that is yourself, male or female..... leftovers are not, usualy, conciderd all that precious.
That is why divorce is so prevalent...leftovers are easely tossed out.

Spelled Pronunciation[fawr-ni-key-shuhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. voluntary sexual intercourse between two unmarried persons or two persons not married to each other.
2. Bible. idolatry.
[Origin: 1300–50; ME fornicacioun < LL fornicātiōn- (s. of fornicātiō). See fornicate1, -ion]
n. Sexual intercourse between partners who are not married to each other.
Word History: The word fornication had a lowly beginning suitable to what has long been the low moral status of the act to which it refers. The Latin word fornix, from which fornicātiō, the ancestor of fornication, is derived, meant "a vault, an arch." The term also referred to a vaulted cellar or similar place where prostitutes plied their trade. This sense of fornix in Late Latin yielded the verb fornicārī, "to commit fornication," from which is derived fornicātiō, "whoredom, fornication." Our word is first recorded in Middle English about 1303.

Fornication
in every form of it was sternly condemned by the Mosaic law (Lev. 21:9; 19:29; Deut. 22:20, 21, 23-29; 23:18; Ex. 22:16). (See ADULTERY.) But this word is more frequently used in a symbolical than in its ordinary sense. It frequently means a forsaking of Yahweh or a following after idols (Isa. 1:2; Jer. 2:20; Ezek. 16; Hos. 1:2; 2:1-5; Jer. 3:8,9).

No, marriage is overrated. Why does a ring and getting pinned down to someone make you want to have sex with them that much more?
