My ex is a gemini and i am a Capricorn (HAPPY BDAY TO ME TODAY!). I heard from him over the weekend saying that being friends is good. Finally, agree on something. So, when an ex says he can be friends (even though he said in the past he could never just be my friend because he has feelings for me) does this mean friends with benefits or purely friends? Im ok with whatever...even if that means just being coffee friends. But, Im curious to know what he thinks friends means, especially since there are feelings still there. SERIOUS answers only, dont waste my time! Thanks!

Its best that the relationship stay as purely friends that way there are no misunderstanding when one of you try to move on to another relationship. Having friends with benefits sometimes are harmful especially on the female side of the relationship...we tend to expect more than what the man is willing to give and then we understand signals in two totally different ways...so if you are decideing to be friends with an ex I would be very careful not to allow myself to get so deeply reattached to the person not knowing where this could lead......

Unfortunately if he is a gemini, his definition of "friends" could change daily if not hourly. Hard to say if he wants to be friends with benefits or not. But usually if you have had and still have deep feelings for each other, being friends is very hard if there is no chance you will once again become a couple. Good luck.

No body can answer that except your ex. If either situation is alright with you, then just ride it out and you'll find out sooner or later. Examine yourself though, and determine if you'll really be alright with the benefits part if that's what he has in mind. Some people can seperate themselves emotionally for sex, others use it as a ploy to keep a foot in the door. Make sure you know what you really want. And either way, don't let your friendship with him hinder you from moving on with other people.

iHappy Birthday
I do believe that you can be friends with an ex, but i would not allow him intimacy if he is dating other people, because then he is just using you at his convience.
