I've just passed my test,
and i've found a lovely car,
I live in Essex and the car is in London,It's around 30 miles away,

Although I passed 1st time, i don't feel as though I could drive through London yet,

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can recover my wheels ???

Its completly roadworthy and taxed,
I don't know many people where I live as I haven't lived here long.

many thanks

To all the idiots that say do I deserve to pass my test,
Yes I do,
Its a well known fact that you only learn to drive once passing your test.
I worked my butt off for six months to pass and I've saved for months for my car,
I would have expected better answers from some of you

hi.
if you need someone to deliver it to your home then you could always call a recovery vechile. they charge average around £1 per mile. so it shouldnt cost you more than £40.
good luck with the deliverer

Have someone or go with you that you trust. They can drive it back for u-you will actually need 2 people for this if your not comfortable driving yet.(one to drive your car n one to drive the other car) Once you have it home go short distances with it and ease into driving. At some point I'd say take it for a drive on a gravel road n really get some experiance there. Until your compltely comfortable driving take the non busy route to where ur going-it maybe longer but you will feel more comfortable. Good Luck ot you :)

I think that the best thing that you could do is to ask someone - may be even your driving instructor - must be someone you trust though - to come with you and sit with you when you drive back. The only way that you are ever going to feel confident driving a car anywhere is to get out there and do it. The first time will probably be awful, and you will make a mistake and people will beep their horns at you - but it doesn't matter because you have been out there and done it.

It is a scary thing - but the best thing to do is take the bull by the horns, as it were!

I agree with the others who say to get someone with a bit more experience to drive it back for you. As for the people who say you shouldn't have passed your test take no notice of them, I passed my test 8 years ago and I've driven to loads of places but there is no way I would drive round London as it would be too stressful! good luck with the new car!

There are lots of car transport companies that charge aroun £1 a mile to move a car on a flat bed truck, alternativly try the seller, they might be willing to deliver the car if you pay the petrol and train fair back to London.

Get someone to sit in the car with you.
But if your not confident on the roads, do you really deserve to pass your test? Put P plates on so people your a new driver.
I was looking at cars miles away and it ended up that my next door neighbour was selling his car, ask down your street is the best way, someone is always wanting to sell their car.

See if you can have it shipped. It would be very expensive though. Or see if the seller is willing to drive it over there for you.

Ask the seller to deliver it, and offer to pay for his expenses and bus home/fuel etc

best way to find somewhere is to go and get lost, London is ideal
or if you go at night when there is no traffic
