How can you still have a thing for a guy you never really got with and being 2 years back.
What you need to do is sit down and talk truthfully with him Tell him your feelings and let it all out.

you're saying that all of this was 2 years ago, right? where has he been for the past 2 years? what's been going on since then? i say you should talk to him about your situation and you should both think of a way to keep this relationship on without hurting your mother's feelings. she might be putting you off, but you have to keep in mind that she might not be doing that. try to check for yourself what kind of person he is, maybe your mom is right. go talk to your mom again. have a sincere mother-daughter conversation without yelling or screaming or door-slamming or anything. just sit down and talk about it, and make her feel you understand that the situation is a teeny tiny bit awkward, but you can't help your feelings. also ask her about what she would do if she were in your shoes.
i hope i could help.

Seems like your Mom is prolly looking out for your best interest and is trying to keep you from getting hurt. Maybe she has seen him give these signals to other girls before and she just doesnt want you to get mixed up with him.

first off id like to say i dont mind your grammar as mines just as bad :)... second, you are now 20 (if i have maths right)... this means that you can make your own decisions... your mum is probably putting you off because she thinks its the best thing to do... im sure she loves you and is doing this because she thinks it is in your best interests... if you like this guy then go for it... of course you want to please your mum but you need to make your own "mistakes" in life... if she starts on at you then say that to her... like i said. she loves you and is just trying to do what she thinks best... good luck :)

Setting this guy aside....what exactly are you doing with yourself for the rest of your life? If you don't have any plans to make your own money...have your own space...make your own decisions, etc.....then I'd say start there and probably this guy will be one of many lining up.....
