I noticed her rubbing her right eye last night, then this morning her eyes swollen just that one eye, she seems other wise fine no disconfort. What can it be, pink eye ?, im not real sure, my thought is to see if the swelling goes down any throught out the day, and if her eye is still swollen by tom.i'll take her in to the doc. I may give her a dose of benadryl. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

3 common reasons. Stye in an eyelid (a sort of pimple)' insect bite; allergy. Benadryl is not needed. If not better in a day, then see an eye doc.

I'd take her to the doctor, now. My son had the same thing happen to him when he was in kindergarten. I got a call from the school and didn't know what to expect. His eyes were so swollen but there was nothing else wrong. The doctor's diagnosis was that he was allergic to something in the environment. He was given a shot and some medicine to take but the eyes were almost back to normal the next day.

He has minor flair ups because of the housing boom but over the counter stuff seems to take care of it now.

Dont send her to school! If you send her she might spread it if it is pink eye. For now, just put cool, wet cloths over her eye, it will help not to rub it so much. If she does rub it, make sure she washes her hands.

P.S. The only reason I know this is because my brother gave it to me on vacation (and, none the less he brought it home from school), and by the end of the 1 week vacation, we had gone through 3 bottles of persription medicine for pink eye and both had it in both eyes =[

I would start with a dose of Benadryl. If that does not help, you should def. take her to see a doctor. Swollen eyes could be caused from numerous different things ranging from allergies to not getting enough sleep.

Sounds like you know what to do. If she has pink eye, the white of her eye would be pink.
