My kitten is 8 weeks old and is finally litter trained however when you pick her up she constantly smells of poop.

I have checked her bottom and it's clean. What can be causing this?

I had that problem when my cat was a kitten too(she was unhealthy when we bought her at a pet store and had runny poops a lot). Anyway, kittens, unlike adult cats, aren't very good at grooming themselves. If her bum is clean, I would check her paws and clean them under some warm water. She probably isn't going to like this, but its either that or live with a stinky kitty. You could try buying kitty wipes as well. You can use these to clean them all over without the water.

Good luck! :)

give her a bath. if she still smells, check her mouth, some dogs actually eat their poop (i know ewwwww), but she may be doing the same. brush her teeth.

Need to check her paws too. She may have stepped in it.

Check her feet.Sometimes they step in their poop while trying to cover it up.
