Having been found as a stray, my family's friend took the dog in (because her daughter's a dog-fanatic), cleaned her up, then offered her to us and we took her. When she arrived, she was exremely afraid of abandonment and constantly stuck around us (especially my mother), but recently she has made some changes. One of the major changes is that she has been eating rather a lot more than she did when she first came so I'm wondering if she could be pregnant... But then... She was bleeding before.. So I can't tell. I'm no expert on dogs so if someone could give me some sound advice, it'd be much appreciated.

she needs to go to the vet..she would need vaccines, heartworm testing, and deworming (at the least)... while you are there ask you vet about ALL the other issues she is having and if its a good vet they will be pleased to help you resolve your questions... and help set up an appointment to get her spayed if she is not already....good luck... congrats on your new family member!! smile

My suggestion could be to tell the human beings you're closest to - as that's those human beings's assist you're able to require interior the worst case scenario. i think of that your toddler would be superb after seeing the pulse at 11 weeks. yet consistent with danger you ought to reassured with yet another test - or a doppler for the pulse - around 14 weeks earlier you tell absolutely everyone you recognize. My best little bit of suggestion is - Please do no longer enable your previous miscarriages avert you from taking section in this being pregnant!

You may want to take her to your vet. They will do tests on her to tell if you do have a pregnant dog. Good Luck!
