but why is there only an outcry of condemnation in American society against religious entertainment that contains violence while secular violence is glorified and approved of in every kind of entertainment?

This question occurred to me when reading the Yahoo news article about how people want to ban the video game called Left Behind because it supposedly promotes religious violence.

Another example was how people complained that "The Passion of the Christ" was "too violent". But no one said that "American Psycho" was too violent. "American Psycho" did not have any kind of good moral message in it. It was only about graphic mindless serial killing, but it had a PG rating. And there was never any public outcry against that movie.

How many secular video games and movies promote secular violence that we don't hear about on the news? I'm just curious as to why violence in religious movies and video games gets controversy but secular violence is no big deal to people.

I agree 100%. There is a small % of Vocal Active Americans(I hate calling them Americans) who are very left wing and against anything having to do with Jesus Christ. They are trying to use Judicial, Judges(Judges trying to make rulings that isnt theirs to make ) to change American laws and policies. If it were up to them we would be emptying out the prisons of criminals and filling them with Christians. What a promising future ahead.

Put the game in context then answer this question.
One World Religion= mind control of the masses under one name. This is inherently evil. The premise of the "new world order" (advocated by Evangelical Christians under the guise of Christianity for all people) is one Global religion and one Global Government.
This too is inherently evil, Why? you might ask. In order for Global government and one Global Religion. a minimum of 75% of the world's population must be wiped out. People would arbitrarily be killed off because they would not follow edicts that were not their way. People can not combat a World Military nor a World religion.
People fighting One world religion is like fighting a tidal wave. Inherently fatal. You cant win.
As to why, someone would make a game like this?
Either as a warning or as a challenge.
Can Christianity rule the world? No!
Can Islam rule the world? No!
Can one government rule the world? No!
Why? Because Absolute power corrupts absolutely and the only ones that would suffer is those that would attempt to rule. Why? They would be Targets. Unless they removed completely any that would fight them and marked the ones that would not so they could keep tabs on them in case they might.
No Man or group of men should attempt to rule the earth with all of it's diversity in language, ideals and custom. To do so is folly.
I'll bet the loudest voices against the game are Evangelical Christians. In some frightened "moral outrage"

Well, there is fact that most violence came from religious beliefs vs. secular violence, on the other hand, secular violence movies or arts do not tell you to do so, while religious violence have message that it is part of the beliefs and therefore your duty as believer to do so depends on your religion. but I agree, I pissed off by those calling on withdrawing left behind from shelves and therefore I decided to buy the game later. I also pissed off when once I asked wal-mart worker if they have GTA, and they said no it is banned in wal-mart... this is was called by religious ppl against secular violence and maybe here is the revenge now, hahahaha

Your premise faulty, therefore your entire argument falls flat.

There is a concerted movement in America and around the world that seeks to have governments regulate ALL video games for violent or other "objectionable" content. Movies have always been in the religious right's crosshairs, so I fail to see your point in that regard as well.

I bet if it was muslims killing Jews there would be no problem with the video game. Maybe because the people trying to get it off the shelf know that they lose in the end so they are offended.

In view of your stand against violence, I have found the ideal religion for you. I won't reveal its name, but here are some of its principles:

"Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them. Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah." - Sura 2:191- 193

"Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know." - Sura 2:216

"Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning." - Sura 3:19

"Be not weak in pursuit of the enemy." - Sura 4:104

"If they reject your judgment, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them for their sins." - Sura 5:49

Many, many people have committed violence in the name of one religion or another.

It is my opinion that "The Passion" by old blood n guts Gibson was irreligious and blasphemous...I could not watch more than 5 minutes of it; the so-called Christians eat up this blood stuff like it was wine.

Ever heard of the word hypocrisy?

Many Christians want us to believe its a religion of fluffy bunnies and apple pie, many of us know better.

And strange as it may seem to you most atheists I know are much more likely to be anti-violence and anti-war than the Christians I know, they are also more likely to be against the death penalty.

And also it seems to me that most Christians seem rather more upset about the flashing of a nipple on TV than they are about graphic violence.
