This happened to my daughter. We determined that it was something sprayed on the fruit and not the fruit itself.
Wash fruit well before eating it. There are fruit and vegetable sprays to clean the produce. Peel the skin off apples, peaches, etc.
If your tongue or throat swell, go to the ER at once. Hives and itching are other signs of a true allergy to fruit. An a doctor who specializes in allergies can test you for food allergies.

I agree with "ne11", who suggested you're probably having a reaction to something the fresh fruits were treated with, perhaps a pesticide, a fungicide, a preservative or even a wax.
There is NO way you could truly be allergic to ALL fresh fruits, because they come from so many DIFFERENT families. For example, oranges and lemons are citrus fruits, pears & apples are pomes (technical term), peaches & plums are stonefruits, pineapples are bromeliads, coconuts are from a type of palm tree, etc. Grapes are in their own separate family too. Bananas are in their own family. And then there's all the berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.) -- some, like the latter two, are closely related to each other, but not to straws or blues.
So, logically and statistically, it would be impossible to be allergic to every single family of fruits out there. It's GOT to be as "ne11" suggested -- you're allergic to something the fruits are treated with and/or sprayed with. You might try shopping at a Certified Farmers Market, or at a trustworthy supermarket specializing in organic stuff, like Whole Foods.
Good luck!! :) I hope you get to the bottom of this problem, SAFELY and SOON!

First you need to try each fruit gradually to see what bothers you. If you eat a skinned fruit that is canned it does not happen. If you peel and orange or eat watermelon does it happen? It may not be the fruit that you are having problems with, it may be the skin. The fact that you mentioned that you vomited after eating an apple does not usually happen with an allergy and eating processed fruit with no skin is OK. There are many chemicals sprayed on fruits and that could be your problem. See an allergist and discuss this with him.

you at the instant are not loopy. you in all probability have an oral allergy syndrome. those are nutrients allergies that reason itching, swelling, and hives on your mouth and throat. I, for one, get itchy and swollen from melons and kiwis, can devour cherries and strawberries carefully (in step with danger 4 or 5), and could might desire to be taken to the scientific institution if I devour any avacado in any respect. The humorous element appropriate to the allergy is that the specific protein i'm allergic to, the only that is modern in all those issues, is destroyed by warmth. So, despite if a slice of uncooked tomato makes my throat itch, i will devour salsa all day long with none issues. Apple juice is pasteurized, that's in all probability why you could drink it. My allergy is all tied right into a latex allergy, and my physique coming up a sensitivity to something that shares a labile protein with latex. This did not take place till i replaced into 17, and it occurred slowly. lookup oral allergy syndrom and inspect the checklist of produce allergies and what their root reasons are (generally that's a kind of pollen).

An allergy can happen anytime and any food or odour, smell etc can trigger it.
Do you experience the feeling when eating one particular fruit or all of them?
Strawberries are one fruit that can leave your throat itchy and make you feel uncomfortable.
Allergies can come and go by themselves ...and I believe of your immune system or constitution. try to avoid the type of food you really think gives you this problem!

For now, stay away from fruits. I have a friend who has the same problem as you and the same symptoms. So I don't know if you can do much about it. Try going to the websit below and asking an expert. It's free.

Citrus in the fruit does the same thing to my mouth, it also gives me a red rash in my mouth. I have a very sensitive mouth, the acidity in apples does this. Golden delicious apples don't have as much acidity in them so that's my apple of choice. I still don't eat anything with citrus in it.z
Maybe this is your problem.

You can go to the allergy doctor and get checked out. They will probably offer you a shot for a few years making your allergies go away. Maybe you can take claritin or benedrel for some relieef.

No, if you are allergic to fresh fruit you'll just have to eat in alternative ways. When you are allergic to something there is'nt anything you can do about it.

This happens to me as well. I notice that it happens more severely with watermellons and bananas. I just assumed it was an allergy, and don't eat them. Except banana pudding on occasions. LOL!! ;)
