I told a good friend by email that I like her a whole lot, but I said I had reservations about going out with her. She sent a reply email saying we need to talk in person. The email seemed light and happy, but she wants to talk "as the friends we already are". Does that mean we stay friends or we may grow our friendship after the talk?

Well,we can tell a little if a person likes us or not. So, think about how she use to treat you and behave when you're around her. All the best and hope the best work out for you!

She may like you also but is being cautious about expressing her feelings because, for whatever reason, you mentioned you "had reservations about going out with her" in your email.

Meet with her to talk and be open and honest with her about your feelings she may very well do the same. This honest discussion may help the friendship grow into something much more.

Girls use the "friends" category for [a] gay shoe shopping buddies and [b] THE BULLPEN.

These are guys they like to string along, having them pay for dates, be available emotionally as a shoulder to cry on and complain about their boyfriends to, do stuff with (at your expense) when her real boyfriend stands her up or cheats on her, flirt with, etc., but never get physical with.

The "we need to talk in person" is her way of reminding you that you are in the bullpen. She will stress 'we don't want to ruin our friendship' or 'we need to just remain friends' or other b u l l s h i t lines of that nature.

So, you will wait like a little puppy for the in-person talk. And she will know she's got you wrapped around her little finger.

Forget her - because guys have 3 lists for women: [a] women we want to screw, [b] already screwed, [c] too hideous to screw. And she isn't a [c], pal.

Tell her you are a starting pitcher and you never come out of the bullpen. Someday, she might get it. Then stop sniffing around waiting for crumbs to fall off the table.

Find another girl.

Stop trying to plan the future.....just go with what is now. Talk to her and see what happenes. You are obviously immature so let time take its course so you can grow up.

The part of the e-mail that says "as the friends we already are" could possibly be a clue that she doesn't think of you in the way you think of her.

wait untill the talk and if you want to become more than friends, tell her that but only if your happy for her to tell you that she feels otherwise.
