I have an iMac G3 requesting for a password o dont know and when i insert the cd,it dont boot?

I have an iMac G3 which has a password so i cant login.I want to install the operating system again so when i insert the Mac OS 9 CD and shut the computer down and switch it on again and i press the C key,it doesnt boot.What should i do

First of all, are you sure it is the correct OS CD?
Many Mac G3s had OS 9 native but if you've upgraded to a later version of OSX, you may not be able to boot to the OS9 CD.

I doubt your organization is going to thoughts once you're bent over like that.
