He said it was a sin. So why do men and women think it is ok to be a whore and be with a whore?

Men and women are under a curse, this whole world is under a curse since Adam and Eve first sinned. The book of Genesis explains this curse on humanity. This curse is sin. We all sin and God does not look at one sin as being worse than another. He tells us that if we break one of His laws, we are guilty of breaking all of His laws. Sin is sin in Gods eyes. It stems from pride and rebelliousness. God also says that some people are spiritually blind and not able to hear His message. They have chosen to go their own way and turned their backs on God. All human suffering and diseases, wars and disasters, are a consequence of sin.

We are a carnal people and sex is the most desired pleasure of them all and prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. But, I don't know why someone would think that being a whore or having sex with a whore would be okay.

Because they do not have JESUS in their life and they don't know any better. The Bible has all the answers; just seek GOD and he will help you see the answers in the Bible.
